Bob Knight Video of Confrontation

Hat-tip to DMN College Blog, here's the link to the video of Bob Knight confronted by Lubbockite, James Simpson.

Man, this is getting interesting. First, the guy's house seems like a really long ways away, and although I'm not a gun expert, seems like a really long distance. Next, we don't know what happened before the guy started taping, so it seems somewhat convenient that's he's got a video camera ready to go.

I'm not condoning Knight's actions here, but it seems like it would be really difficult to tell who's pellets were in this guy's pool, or who fired the shot.

Things certainly stay pretty interesting around here.

I posted on this a little earlier. But the gist of it is that Knight, being Knight, HAS to always take the high road in these situations. Knowing the guy is taping him, he should have just swalloed his pride, even if he was right, and moved further away. He's in a no win situation and just made it worse by being defensive...again, even if he was right.

Yes, that makes perfect

sense, and that's what a normal person would do, but I think you and I both know, that's not a part of Knight's personality make-up.

No way in hell does he back down from someone, but I get the feeling that if he had shot even remotely in the direction of that guy's house, that you wouldn't stick around, would you? Unless of course you're bulletproof (pun intended).

sure how I would have handled it. I don't hunt in city limits. What an odd law, to begin with!

But Knight, and anyone else in his situation as a celebrity, just have to be careful in these confrontations. No doubt this character would have drooled to get Knight to take a swing on camea. And he's a slime ball for doing what he did - purposely baiting someone. The authorities sound like they've given this idiot all the time they plan on, so this time the story will die a nice peaceful death.
