Michale Crabtree: Consensus All-American

Freshman wide receiver sensation Michael Crabtree was named to the Associated Press All-American Team and has now been named to 5, yes that's right 5 All-American teams, which means that he's now a Consensus All-American. In case you're keeping track:

But whatever you do, don't forget that Michael Crabtree, despite the above-referenced accolades, was not the freshman of the year according to the Dallas Morning News.

Yes, I'm still a little bitter.

Just thought i'd point out that he was a consensus a while back: you only have to be named to 3 of the 5 All-American teams to be considered 'consensus'. Make sense? no, but that's how it works.

What about
unanimous consensus All-American?
Go Raiders . . .

They
use that distinction (consensus) because players who are named to all five are called "Unanimous All-American." Gives a special shout-out to those who land on three of the five. Makes sense...
