Wes Welker?

Is Wes Welker in the NFL?  I just wanted an update on the man who has haunted my nightmares for the past few years.  I still get cold and break out into sweats every time I think of Welker catching a 6 yard pass and running amok through the Texas secondary while laughing and taking time to feel up our cheerleaders on his way to the endzone.

Damn you Welker for my Post Tramatic Stress Disorder.  I'm like a Vietnam vet after a few months in the dense jungle.  Where are my pills???

Good luck against the Buffs, not that you'll need it.  And nice win over the ags. The look on the aggie fans after the last second win was priceless.

Welker
had a really good year with the Miami Dolphins.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that Welker along with Zach Thomas, are two of the revered Tech players and if Tech were smart, they'd make Welker's jersey readily available.

Go Raiders . . .

Love me some Wes!
Dude was great at Tech.  Definitely one of the all-time favorite Red Raiders for the majority of fans.  I wouldn't mind if we erected a statue of him outside the Jones, but some older timers might object on the grounds of EJ Holub, Donnie Anderson, Gabe Rivera, and Zach Thomas.

Wes has put together a fine career thus far with the Fins.  He is a restricted free agent this season and is prone to get his 1st real deal pro contract with signing bonus and everything.  They won't just let him walk and another team would have to give up a 1st or 2nd rounder to get him, but still he's about to get paid.

As one might expect, he's a fan favorite in Miami.  Check out this thread:

Not bad for an undrafted guy that accepted our only available scholarship a week after signing day.
