Big 12's Total Offense Rank - Thru Week 6.
I saw an article in the Tupelo Daily Journal, and thought I would summarize it for this post.
Does the SEC's horrible offensive play make their Defense seem tough!? (ESPN's philosophy!?! Makes you think, doesn't it?)
I have watched a ton of SEC football (I'm stuck here in SEC land) and its obvious to me that their offenses are not as stellar as they used to be this year. TECH ALL THE WAY!! GET YOUR GUNS UP!

And a Quote from Mike Leach at the bottom of the article....
Since great offensive play draws more attention than great defensive play, the chasm between Big 12 and SEC offenses has tilted the balance of opinion in regards to which conference is stronger.
The best way to answer that question, short of a playoff, is to have the respective conference champions meet in the BCS national championship game, along with any other bowl matchups. And you know what they say: Defense wins championships.
The Big 12 coaches are certainly mindful of that truism.
"I think the offenses maybe have a lot of attention right now, but I think there's definitely some good defenses in this league," Texas Tech coach Mike Leach said. "I think it's going to be very hard to come out on top without a real good defense."BY BRAD LOCKE
