Tech Has No Defense

could call it jealousy, they want what we have. their football program has been around longer, and over that time has had success. this yea though, they suck, and their main rivals in-state, are much better than they are. they don’t know what to do, so they’re saying we suck, as usual, they probably think UT, or TU i should say, sucks also. No worries, it’s just the aggie mindset.

just smile and nod…don’t get drawn into arguing with stupidity. Our football team is better, plain and simple.

It’s comical reading the DMN colleges blog whenever anything about Tech is posted. Aggies come crawling out of the woodwork to discuss their academic and military prowess and their Big XII conf title from 1998. Sure, it’s probably harder (slightly) to get into A&M, and yes, they have contributed greatly to our military and have some pillars of business who they count as alumni.

But what’s that got to do with a football game? That’s right, nothing. But it’s all they have to hang their hat on right now, so let the one’s who say these patently absurd things just do it w/out replying. Pat them on the head and let them be the petulant brats many of them tend to be (not all, I know some great, great guys who are Aggies).

But the one’s who like to post things about Tier 1 or 2 schools, how valuable their degrees are, how great their traditions are, or how awesome their fans are, are just trying to justify their sad state of affairs in regards to football: In Texas, the only sport that really matters.

or when Texas plays aggie, do they refer to u.s. news and world report’s college rankings? because aggie, you’re not what you think you are. anyone who even tries in high school can get into Tech, UT, or aggie place…they’re freaking STATE SCHOOLS. Second, Tech 92 speaks the truth. Yesterday, one aggie’s comeback to some trash talk on the morning news comments section was, “at least learn how to spell if you’re gonna talk trash.” all of us married people know what we do when we DON’T have a valid comeback in an argument……..

As the article linked to on the front page shows, Tech graduates 79% of their football players. A&M is 8th in the conference and graduates 56. Who cares how hard it is to get into a school when 44 of your players don’t graduate?

Aggie has become the Rice of the Big 12. Sure they have a great band, and they all can point to their SAT’s and brag about how smart they are, but the fact is they suck at football, and isn’t that what we are talking about?

Tech’s players are taking note of the lack of respect and the hating. That can only be good for them. I am interested to read the comments when Tech is 8-0 and being trashed, and everyone is pumping up UT. It can only help us.
