  1. Synopsis of the game: Depth. Tech has it, A&M doesn’t. Batch improves his 7.8 ypc, Harrell rules the sky, Dixon wreaks more havoc.
  2. Offensive MVP: Graham Harrell
  3. Defensive MVP: McKinner Dixon (going with him until he isn’t the DMVP for once)
  4. Final Score: Tech 56, A&M 14

After all is said and done, more is said than done.

Closer than I'd like

I’m with Seth on this one. I think this is closer than I originally thought. Earlier in the week, I had Tech covering the 20 pt spread, but I just have a feeling this one is tight.

synopsis: Aggies come out on fire, stop Tech’s first few drives and get up early. Tech rallies in the third qtr, then hangs on at the end. Similar to last week, but not as sloppy on defense. The aggies will return a Harrell INT for a TD to keep it close.

I'm gonna have to go with history

The last 3 games at Kyle Field have been VERY close (2 went into OT). Aggie would like nothing better than to spoil our dream season. But, the depth and skill will pull it out in the end.

Tech 38
A&M 28

OMVP – Baron Batch has lots of yards and 2 TD’s on breakaway plays.
DMVP – McKinner Dixon has a multiple sack day.

I think there will be

some similarities with the Nebraska game. We’re favored by around 21 (like we were last week) but this time we have to go to Kyle Field where we’ve typically struggled far more than we have at home against the Aggies. I’d love to go into their house and punch them in the throat for a 70-10 like game, but think it will probably be a lot closer than either that or the spread. We win by something like 10, in my opinion, though I’m not taking anything for granted.

Go register. Or else.

Largest point win by Tech ever at Kyle field

but honestly, I don’t know what that is. Where is the TV stats guy when you need him?

by NM99 on Oct 17, 2008 3:25 PM CDT reply actions

just points

the most points scored by an opponent at Kyle Field is 57 by Texas in 1977.
think we we even get close to that?

If you not having fun....then your not playing the game right.

This is starting to look like the classic trap game.

I don’t like it when EVERYBODY thinks we’re going to win. It’s like I felt last week when way too many articles/ discussions were about our 70-10 victory over Nebraska. The aggies have nothing to lose. And a lot to gain! It’s at Kyle Field! They just got embarrassed there. They’ll want to prove something! This is their perfect opportunity.
By the way, they must have good athletes. Rivals thinks the’ve significantly outrecruited us every year for the past 5 years (except 2006 where we have a slight edge).
We better come out focused, ready to be in a fight, and execute!
If so, we leave with a W.
If not, we’re all gonna be sick for a while….
(Sorry for not following instructions, I’ll try to conform in future posts… I appreciate the site!)

I'm going to have to figure out a way to make me accountable for

your predictions. Perhaps we vote on who had the best or most accurate prediction during the week and will receive $1,000,000 DTN bucks.

Well, you and I were pretty close on this one, so that sounds good to me! Make those points good for free posts. Oh, wait. It is free. You should charge everyone a nickle for each post. That will make some scratch.

Speaking of, after perusing some of the the other blogs, it is clear that Tech fans are among the most vocal and active on the boards. Very nice reflection of the Raider Nation!

Is that...

….equal to or greater to the ration of unicorns to leprechauns? And what is the cash value of a DTN buck?

... I'm just sayin'

by antiswarm on Oct 18, 2008 7:12 AM CDT reply actions

Neither and both.

As far as cash value, let’s just say that bailout cash = DTN bucks. That’s right, DTN is responsible for the bailout. You’re welcome.
