I totally hedged on that prediction
on one hand, I think Kansas is fairly overrated as a top 25 team.
I haven’t believed they were worth a crap since I watched them lose to South Florida.
OTOH, Tech usually struggles the game right after playing A&M, so it is the best time to upset them.
My guy told me y’all had nothing to worry about, my brain said I might see an upset.
That is why I said I wouldn’t be surprised to see either happen.
Kind of a non-prediction prediction.
I didn’t expect your DL to perform this well, although I know Dixon is a stud.

May and Holtz screaming at each other particularly entertaining. In fact….sometimes May’s total lack of respect makes me cringe. And I’m not even a big Holtz fan.

aTm had absolutely the stupidest comments about Tech that I have ever heard in college football. Do you STILL prefer aTm’s record to Techs?

I have appreciated chatting with the Kansas fans this week, and hope they do well the rest of the season. After talking to the aTm fans last week, it is good to hear a rational group of fans who aren’t completely deluded.

Let me just put it this way: I would rather have the expected ceiling of A&M’s program than the ceiling of Tech’s program.
Fair enough?
Our expectation levels of success are a little different, and I wouldn’t trade that.

Baylor hoped to win a national title at the beginning of the season, too.
Let me make it simple: You guys average 7-5, 8-4 with a coach, you give him a raise and an extension.
We have a few years of 7-5, 8-4, we fire the coach.
You are happy with consistently being over .500 and winning minor bowl games. We want to win conference and national titles, and want a coach who will help us do that.
You are happy with a coach who wins you 8 games and a minor bowl.
That is the difference between our programs.
And I’m not going to continue on this line of discussion anymore. There is no point in continuing, b/c like I said before, we’re not going to convince each other our opinion is correct.
We’ll just have to agree to disagree and be done at that.

the problem...
the problem with this argument is that you putting words in our mouth with the expectations…
we certainly want the same things… our philosophies of how to get there might be different… our circumstances are different…
you guys are a “traditional powerhouse” (though it seems to have fallen from the that seat)
you guys have consistently gotten some of the best recruits, because you’re A&M. however, we don’t and Leach has done an absolutely AMAZING job with less than spectacular recruits up until recently…
just because you guys think that you’re better than you are and are now envious of our sucess doesn’t mean you have to dig around for b.s. things to “drag us down”

Based on what I have seen from Sherman this year
I dont see much of a ceiling……but then again, everyone outside of college station can see clearly and bases their arguments on the actual playing of actual football games, not imaginary predictions and bloated inferiority complex

Sherman is doing okay
he’s done as well as can be expected with what Fran left him with
The Arkansas State game was a mess, but it isn’t like Sherman fumbled the ball, the players did that
When you walk into a program and you have no OL or defense to speak of, all you can be asked to do is improve every game, and do the best you can
Sherman has done that.
We’re just having the misfortune of having a rebuilding year int he best year in Big 12 history.
