College Gameday
I have been watching the Ohio State-Penn State game, and Kirk Herbstreit confirmed that ESPN's College Gameday is making their first trip to Lubbock, TX! Needless to say, I am super excited. I am trying to decide of Corso chooses Tech or not. Everyone try to come up with creative signs so we can make the great people of the USA laugh. I only need eleven more words to complete this post...done

Texas coming in town as #1 will be the biggest game in Tech history, but this team needs to treat it as just a normal game. This team does not need any more pressure by fans and media. Leach has already approached this game as another big game, but no bigger than the last one. We know Corso is going to sport the Texas headgear so know sense in thinking that will change. If I were still living in Lubbock, I would be all over the crowd at College GameDAY! I urge all fans to show up, wear Red, and cheer on the Raiders! Wreck Em Tech!!!
Some people/local stores are trying to do a Black Out for the game. The stores are hoping everyone will go out and buy new black shirts. It’s not going to happen. I will be wearing red.
Being an accountant and famous don't go together. If you're a famous accountant, you probably did something wrong.
I would have to agree with Don Williams: No BLACK OUT! Here is what he posted:
STOMP OUT THE BLACK OUT IDEA
There continues to be a contingent of fans (and more than a few folks that stand to profit from it) pushing for Tech fans to wear all black to the Texas game. How original. I hope no body steals the idea. Please, please do your part and put a stop to this silliness. At best you look on the same level as OSU when it comes to copycat "traditions". At worst, about half the crowd wears red, half black and with the Texas fans in orange you’ve got a Halloween Salvador Dali painting. Not good. Wear the Red, party like a pirate and have fun.
wear black!!
dont go buy a shirt… are you telling me you don’t own anything black? the reason for the blackout is not because of local stores… red raider outfitter was the only store that agreed to spend money to market the blackout, no local business would support it.
Tech students started the idea this summer! Trust me! It is all an attempt to rally the sorry community of Lubbock around its football team… then we have guys come in here and say no, lets not commit to unity wear red anyways! What is that? Dont read too far into this, just support the team!
Wreck em tech!! Beat UT
Because I think it’s a stupid idea…look, I seriously doubt my opinion will stop anyone from wearing black, white or red.
The idea of these forums is to voice opinion – not agree with every Tom, Dick and Harry who say’s something. Don’t take disagreement on the idea as non-support of the team. That’s flawed logic.
or green or pink or blue...
seen frat guys sporting their polos the last few games. i’d rather them not even show up
I’ll be wearing the same black shirt i’ve been wearing every gameday this season, blackout or not
