BlogPoll Ballot: Week 10

I've got the BlogPoll ballot after the jump.  I don't have a ton of time for random thoughts, but I had a tough time figuring out what to do with Oklahoma State.  I truly believe that at the end of the season they may be the 2nd best team in the Big 12, and I know that many of you may not want to hear that, but those guys are good.  I'm also very suspicious of Oklahoma and their defense.  I didn't think that USC deserved to move up after their win and I'm not real sure about Florida.  They demolished Kentucky, but that loss, at home to Mississippi is looking worse and worse as the Rebels struggled to beat Arkansas.  Anything after #9 or #10 is a complete cluster-F.  I'm not real sure that I've figured out the 25 teams deserve to be on DTN's ballot.

TCU’s too high, there’s no way a 1-loss mountain west school deserves to be in BCS position at this point. If they beat Utah, then maybe, but not yet. Also Georgia does belong below us and OSU at this point. they scored a lot of points but it was a messy, messy game against LSU who is really struggling defensively since Pelini went to Nebraska.

Also ouch Florida :(.

with OSU not dropping a lot with their loss to Texas, it puts them in a position where, if they should win out and there are a few lucky losses along the way (Penn State and Alabama), they too might be in a position to play Texas in the NC game. OU can do it, if they win out. I don’t think that a situation with us winning out (or losing to Texas but finishing 11-1) leaves another big XII team in the #2 spot unless we get a lot of help along the way (Say, UT loses to us, drops to ~#5, one spot ahead of Georgia. We win out, UT wins out, Georgia beats Florida and ’Bama, PSU loses to a nobody. Should be #1 TTU, #2 UT, #3 Georgia).

All very interesting cases of what could happen.

anyway, there you god.

I’m not sure, but I don’t think there’s any possibility of a two teams from the same division, much less the same conference, playing for the national title.

there’s nothing against it in the rules.

just have to have the wins and losses line up right. If penn state and alabama manage to lose and UT and OU don’t, it will be a rematch game, book it.

Granted, I think both of those teams come out with one more loss to our raiders :D
