PrintSome of my Tech alum friends and I were discussing possible sign ideas for ESPN College Gameday. A few were heading back to Lubbock for the game and were taking suggestions. I figured I'd create a post that allowed others to share their sign ideas or, for those heading to the Engineering Key on Saturday, steal a few creative ones. Below are a few that we came up with, and feel free to add some more in the comments section:
Red Raiders Burn Orange
Tech Serving Bevo BBQ for Dinner
Mike Leach Stayed at a Holiday Inn Express Last Night
4th and 24? We're Going For It
Harrell and Crabtree for Co-Heisman
5 + 6 = 7 (Crabtree and Harrell's numbers, just in case you didn't catch that one)

Just to let yall know....
"Texas Tech officials announced Monday that the set for ESPN’s popular College GameDay show will be constructed on the Tech engineering key just north of Memorial Circle beginning Thursday morning.
Live tapings from the set are scheduled to begin Friday afternoon. The first will take place at 3:45 p.m. for the Friday evening ESPN SportsCenter. The College GameDay show is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday. Fans are asked to arrive between 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Saturday for another SportsCenter segment just prior to the show.
Tech officials said the area around the set will be controlled by security and fans will not be allowed behind the stage for the tapings until 3:30 p.m. Friday and then again at 7 a.m. Saturday."

I like the Matt Williams thing too.
But I’d rather see “Matt Williams for Groza.”
You could always make a comment about the Big 10 being overrated or something about Ohio St. That wouldn’t make Kirk to happy but it’s true.
My choice for a sign unless I missed it on this post already is regarding UT and you could have a sign painted/colored in burnt orange with two guys or girls holding hands that says Keep UT weird
Another thing I was thinking about was cutting out a big picture of Leslie the Transvestite and have it compared to Mack Brown or Colt McCoy…..just a thought.
Another suggestion
We could superimpose an image of the Longhorn symbol on a larger Longhorn symbol to make it look like our double T logo. Paint it red and black and the caption reads “NEWSFLASH: Bevo just changed sides!!”.
Another one
Choose from image of Darcel McBath intercepting Reesing or Wall intercepting Ganz and caption says “Who said Crabtree was our best catcher?”.
Or choose both images and say “We’ve crabtrees on the other side of the ball too”.
Another one
Or keeping with the Halloween theme we write Trick or Treat in huge letters.
Below the “Trick” we show a picture of Boise St. headcoach with Leach’s face superimposed and to the side a score that says 43-42
Below the “Treat” we show a picture of Mankind (Carter) and to the side a score that says 63-21
Meaning either the game will be close one like Boise St. vs. Oklahoma 2007 and we’ll win it in style or it’ll be a blowout like Kansas vs. Tech 2008 but the Red Raiders will win in either case.
Okay, how b'out this one...
Caption reads “Red Raiders face biggest test so far in Lubbock”.
Below is a photoshopped picture of JOHN BIBLE showing a hook’em sign and/or wearing a burnt orange and white shirt.

I think someone needs a sign that says:
Lee Corso killed my grandmother!
All of these pictures need to be big so ESPN cameras can catch them. Of the 3 gameday locations i’ve been to in my life there needs to be BIG pictures on the poster board.

2. Colt…..its what’s for dinner, Bevo it’s what’s for dinner was a good one that I saw as well.
3. Something about Leslie the tranny in Austin would be a good one to put up or a big blowup picture of him in comparison to mack brown or colt mccoy
Backstage Passes to GameDay
One of my friends told me he heard on the radio that they were giving away two backstage passes to College GameDay at a Home Depot store. Whoever can make the most creative sign wins. It’s on Friday from 3pm-5pm at the Home Depot at 5801 Loop 289. Best of luck!
Might be a little long.
McCoy and Harrell went up the hill to fetch a Heisman trophy. Colt went down and lost his crown and Graham went on to Miami.

Crabtree and Harrell rack up frequent Flyer Miles Can add to use for Miami trip or whatever.
TTech dislikes Texas but Texas Hates TTech like a spoiled little girl!

Nothing like BBQ Butchering Bevo Quickly on Gameday.
Air Raid caused Longhorns to stampede back to Austin.
