KSU O-line
Was really not providing that great of protection. That was Freeman getting rid of the ball quickly.
I hope Prince calls a blitz every play the rest of the game…this could get ugly if he does. Hasn’t worked hardly a lick yet.
GH is floating
balls outside, and that’s still worrisome, wonder if that’s a result of the wind.
Go Raiders . . .
I don’t understand this pass defense scheme at all

unreal – and put the defense in an awful position

and why does our scat back have the ball. batch has the strength to get that over.
also wall beaten again.
1st quarter thoughts:
offense: we’re killing ourselves if we don’t score on an offensive possession.
defense: Wall specifically and the rest of the corners/safeties in general are being mauled in coverage.
Our coach gets in as much trouble as he bails us out. That was just a bad decision compounded by a terrible play call.
That mentality was good when we were a 7-6 underdog team that had nothing to lose. Leach needs to pull his head out of his ass and realize when you have a lead you don’t go for it on 4th in your own effing territory.
that play call was entirely decided by a few of leach’s predjudices: he has no confidence in his punter so he figured that a punt against the wind would go ~30 yards. He has no confidence in the qb sneak any more, harrell is the worst sneaking qb in the NCAA.
Certainly a better formation for running

He seemed really tentative on that kick though – not much leg into it. But he did make it.

K-State seems totally deflated right now

Hey, where’s that KState guy who laughed at the idea of Tech holding them to less than 16 points? I know there’s a second half to play, and they’ll probably score on our second team defense, but still…
Ceiling fan update
I got the blades put together in the first half. I have a feeling the rest will go much quicker in the 2nd.
make sure
they’re all angled the same way…or you could do some experimenting with half one way, half the other. Maybe then you wouldn’t have to change the rotation in the winter. Keep me posted on the results :-P
4th and Short
Thoughts on lining up Crabtree (who played some QB in high school) at QB to sneak on 4th and inches? It seems to me that he would be a significant upgrade to Harrell on the sneak.
This is why
Tech is considered sketchy. They can’t focus an entire game. No way that they should have given up this drive. On mid-range passes and runs. Vanilla stuff we’re getting beat at now.
Tech was bad last year in 3rd quarters – Leach doesn’t seem to make good halftime adjustments or decisions it seems

we’ve gone back to a very vanilla defense, a loose zone that is keeping the entire field in front of us.
That drive looked wayyyyy too easy. Tech needs to focus. Problem is, KState took almost half a qtr to do it.
took almost half a qtr to do it.
When your ahead by this much, that’s a good thing. The clock is their worst enemy right now.
