any fans in Boston?

Was wondering if any Boston fans want to get together to watch the OU game? I plan on calling a bunch of bars at the start of the week to see which ones will be playing the game with the sound on. Will probably call Fenway area bars first and then move onto other areas until I find one that can guarantee that the sound will be on.

Wow…a Red Raider in Boston. I lived there for 5 years and proudly wore my Red and Black gear. Most of the time, I got weird looks and people thought I was supporting some techical college. I don’t think there was a Tech Alumni Chapter at the time…how long have you lived there? I will be up there for Thankgiving as my wife is from there…I will definitely be sporting the Tech colors….people most likely thing I’m some local who’s just a bandwagon hopper.

You can’t go wrong with those Fenway bars…..good call that you’re calling ahead. I remember having to purchase Tech games when I lived there….but now that they have been on the grand stage, I’m sure some reasonable bar will have it on….unless the Celts are playing that night.

yea, I haven’t had any luck finding a group of Tech fans. There is an alumni chapter up here now, but I do not think it is very active….and actually, since I didn’t even graduate from Tech – that could complicate things. I grew up in Lubbock and then moved to Boston for college and have just recently moved back to Boston. Even though I didn’t attend Tech, I follow them religiously.

I’ve been sporting my Tech gear all season, and have slowly turned some friends into following the team.

The Celtics are off the day of the OU game, but the Bruins are playing in Montreal. I am cautiously optimistic that I can find a place that is playing it with sound.

I’m in the Coast Guard and lived in Boston last year. I did meet a Tech grad attending an area graduate school (we actually met in the Philadelphia airport). Named Graham of all things.
