Enjoy the hell out of it, guys
I just wanted to wander my way over here from my small corner of the blogosphere to send a big time congratulations to all of you at DTN for Cap'n Leach and Co. pulling out the win last night.
I know the exact feeling. I've woken up the next morning in a state of euphoria that failed to waiver even as I slept. I've seen the underappreciated, perennial "can't get over the hump" team rise to the occasion and make a national statement. It's a magical, magical thing.
Which is exactly why I clicked my way over to DTN this morning. Enjoy the hell out of every moment you have this morning, this week, and however long this run takes you. Before you know it, all it takes is one week and one bad performance and all the positive feelings can disappear.
So, while I realize this post turned more nostalgic and myopic on my part, I wanted to drop by to tell you to enjoy the company of your fellow Red Raiders this week. Enjoy the company of family, friends and colleagues who are holding that same sense of immeasurable pride this week. And most importantly, put your faith in your Red Raiders to do what my team couldn't: stay at the summit once the mountain had been scaled.
A nation tips its cap to you today, Tech.

Thank you
for the kind words, it definitely feels incredible. It’s not over yet though- I’m sticking with my pre-season outlook that OU @ Norman will be the toughest test this team is going to face (and OSU playing the way they are makes next week a nailbiter too). Supposing we do make it down the stretch and earn the South’s berth in the Big XII Championship game, I’d be lying if I said I’d love to see us matched up against Mizzou. You guys still scare the hell out of me and Pinkel has owned us ever since his team’s emergence as a contender. Still, best of luck to you guys in November, and if we do see you in Kansas City, may the best team win.
