Oklahoma St is now the biggest game in the history of this year." - Mike Leach
First off obviously congrats to the team, the school, the city of lubbock, and most importantly...the fans. What an unbelievable week and game. Without a question the game of the year if not one of the best in the last 5 years in college football. Yes it was the best WIN in school history, yes it was the best GAME in school history, and yes it was the biggest WEEKEND in school history...but now its time to look ahead to the Cowpokes.
At some point we all need to realize that we have another HUGE game this weekend against Okie St. and hopefully the team doesn't continue to relish the win against Texas. If so, we're doomed..... Although I personally don't see this team doing that I just think it's something to obviously question as fans because every year it happens to someone in college football. I just hope that it's not us who fall victim. I really think Ruff has this team focused as does the entire coaching staff to.
Kendall Hunter is definitely a man. Zac Robinson is no slouch either, the guy can play, and Dez Bryant....Quite possibly the 2nd coming of Michael Crabtree. You also can't forget about Brandon Pettigrew.
Oklahoma St is very, very scary.

I agree! OSU was the only game that worried me at the beginning of this year. I felt like we could handle Texas. (Everyone here in SEC land didn’t believe me! I am going to enjoy going to work tomorrow!)
I also feel like we will handle OU. (The bye week will help out!)
OSU and Tech are the same team, roughly. I think we both have comparable offences and defences. It may come down to special teams and kicking games…..

We have a bye week, but so do they…. so im not really sure what to think of it… i was hoping at the beginning of the season that they would have to postpone one of their games, like ut did, but that never happened. i just hope our team gets focused for these next 3 weeks
Thank God for the Home Field Advantahe
I think that makes the difference. I just don’t see anyone beating us in Lubbock.
Zegarek88,
I agree but every year Oklahoma St seems to always and I mean ALWAYS give us a run for our money. This year they are just as good as us, even though we beat the #1 team in the nation and they didn’t. We just have to continue to show up and everything should take care of itself. I’d be thoroughly shocked if we didn’t perform up to the same level as we did against Texas. Lubbock is one of the toughest places to play no question, but i’ll just say that Oklahoma St is in my opinion, our mirror image on offense but with a better running back.
If the defensive line can stay focused and win up front at the line of scrimmage we should be able to get to Robinson like we did Colt. OSU is going to score, there’s no question about that, its just going to come down to how well we can defend against the run and at the same time limit Dez Bryant… The guy is exactly like Crab in many aspects. It’ll be a challenge no doubt, but I think our Red Raiders are more than up to the task.
I wouldn’t call OSU a mirror image of our offense. They may run the ball better than we do but they have no where near the depth in receivers we have.
Being an accountant and famous don't go together. If you're a famous accountant, you probably did something wrong.
As the season has progressed, the OSU game steadily moved up to the top of my “scary” list. UT and OU have essentially become one demensional with the running games just not getting to the level they are used to. But OSU is very balanced and talented. Plus, we all know how we struggle with great tight ends…historically anyway.
This team has proven that they are focused on the task at hand and I see great things happening for us. It is the oldest cliche in the book, but “one game at a time” is the only way to get to where we want to go.
