Texas Tech Saturday Morning Basketball Notes - Like Loyola Marymount-Oklahoma Edition
Texas Tech Basketball:
A preview and open game day thread will be posted before game-time.
LAJ's Jeff Walker previews today's game with Eastern Kentucky as well as a look back at the record setting performances against East Central. Junior Knight didn't sound too happy with the defense:
"From a defensive standpoint, it was not good," Knight said. "They were just coming down — it was like Loyola Marymount-Oklahoma back when I was in high school when that game was in the 130s-140s. We kind of buckled down and I think they only had 10 points by the second time out of the second half. I’ll be honest with you guys, though, that was a new one for me."From a defensive standpoint, tomorrow we’ll have to really hit Eastern Kentucky and get their mind frame back to normal basketball."
Pat Knight also talks about how senior guard Alan Voskuil may be warming up:
"He’s just got to let the game come to him," Knight said. "I told him to just drive, get layups in the first five minutes and then you can get your jump shots. Alan started cold the last couple of games because he’s shooting threes right off the bat when your legs are cold."
