THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I hope that some of the football program, players, coaches, administrators etc., take a peek at what is said on this site. I just wanted to tell them all what a wonderful experience this football season has been. On Saturdays it has been a blast keeping up with my Tech buds from Virginia to San Francisco. I have never enjoyed having my weeks revolve around the excitement that Saturdays have brought this year.
Yesterday I was visiting with my youngest son who is flying jets in the middle east and told him that I believe that this football team has garnered more attention to Texas Tech in one football season than the rest of our combined athletic history. He told me that many of his buddies throughout the pilot world have become Texas Tech fans and many of them use the "guns up" sign when they start their flight missions.
Once again it has been an honor to follow you guys this year. Your enthusiasm and excellence has made us all very proud. You should be very proud of yourselves for bringing all of us Tech fans to the edge of our seats every week. I believe you have set the bar for us all to strive for in the years to come. Congratulations and best of luck for the rest of the season.

Amen!!
I hope the team et. al. reads this blog!
I wear my logo with even more pride this year! I have many co-workers here in SEC land following Tech and pulling for them.
After the Texas win, I had to announce new visitors in church the following Sunday. I stood up and said, “Before I begin… How about those Texas Tech Red Raiders!” The church errupted in applause!
Guys, this year has been a dream season and I hope you all know what fun it has been for those grizzled, gruff-but-lovable fans who are just so damn proud of you!
I got my Masters degree this year from UGA. Many of my friends say that I will have a tough time if Georgia and Tech hook up in a bowl this year. I quickly relpy that there will be no conflict. I will root Tech to victory over the Dawgs. Then I hit them with a Guns Up and hit my ringer on the cellphone with the Tech Fight Song!
We will hit ‘em, we will wreck ’em, hit’em wreck ’em Texas Tech! and the victory bells will ring out!!!

2008 Tech Football
Has been the most exciting in all my years as a Tech fan. With their accomplishments and electric play they have brought a huge number of latent fans back on board, as well as new fans all over the world (see above). This year’s football has been wonderful, but they will gladly share the spotlight right now with Sally Kipyego, maybe the greatest female athlete to ever compete for any college team. She has also been a pleasure to follow. What a great time to be a RED RAIDER!

I haven’t been this pumped about our football future since the ’73 season. Good job, boys.

Proud to be a Red Raider
We had a great season and I was able to attend all but 3 games. The way I look at things, if Oklahoma wins out and is the NC, then we can brag our only loss was to the National Champion. If Missouri were to somehow beat Oklahoma and Texas wins the NC game, then we have bragging rights as the only team to beat the National Champions. Looks good either way.
