Keys to the Game:

  1. Making A Statement: This may be the biggest non-conference game of the year, Junior Knight has the perfect opportunity to make a statement against a ranked opponent.
  2. The Bigs: Pittsburgh will offer something that Texas Tech would normally only see in conference play, which is talented forwards who can score. Young is obviously talented, but Blair (17.5 pts; 13.3 reb; 1.0 ast) is immensely talented and doesn't even start.
  3. Control the Tempo: Not having much opportunity to watch Pitt, I would imagine that Texas Tech needs to dictate the tempo of the game, don't let it get out of hand and keep it close.

GO RAIDERS . . .

*Stats can be found at Ken Pomeroy: K.P. Rank = the Ken Pomeroy Rank; Offensive Efficiency = the national rank in terms of points scored per 100 possessions; Defensive Efficiency = the national rank in terms of points allowed per 100 possession. Numbers in parentheses are national rank.

I watched it on HD Net last night

and we were in the game(pitt only had 3 pt lead) well into the 2nd half, until we let pitt get into their pace. I was really impressed by our D and have a lot of hope for these kids considering they hung with #4 team so well.
