Tech Recruitment
I was actually thinking about this last weekend after the game. With all the high school recruits who were at the game, along with it being nationally televised, how big of an impact do you think Tech's win had on our recruitment? DTN has kept us up to date with the two recent four star recruits choosing Tech (one even decommitting to commit to Tech). I truely think this win will help sway some young minds towards Tech. If we beat OSU this week, it should make Tech look like an even better choice. I'm glad to see we're getting consistent three and four star recruits. GO TECH

Recruits at the game
Apparently there was only one recruit at the game, and he proceeded to commit this Monday. Also, there was a runningback that was committed to Minnesota, that also recently switched his commitment.
Did
you read this somewhere about there only being one recruit at the game? I was in the student section and thought I saw a long line of recruits behind the endzone on the south side of the stadium. I could be wrong but I thought many were wearing their high school jackets (a dead give away).
Being an accountant and famous don't go together. If you're a famous accountant, you probably did something wrong.
yeah, there were at least 10 prominent recruits there for the game, including a few 2010’ers.
This weekend seems to have more lined up, even though we’ve pretty much shut recruiting down for 2009 aside from a few trench players.
Scholarships
When do the scholarships actually get granted? Signing day, correct? If we end up with the chance to pick up a better recruit at the same position as someone who has already verbally committed, such that we have more people wanting to commit than we have scholarships, would we withdraw an offer in favor of another or take away one for someone who is on the team but not playing?
I think the Tech stock just went up notably in the mind of recruits. A win this weekend could really solidify things and pull some off the fence and maybe entice some others who were not previously high on Tech. If not for 2009, then 2010.
THAT'S WHY
We gotta get Leach signed for an addt’l 3 years to make his committment 5 years to the 1,000 acres. I think we should refer to tech as the 1,000 acres or however many acres we have since UT is so proud of their 40. How about “section and a half.”
One Recruit
In one of the articles I read, it said that only one recruit ATTENDED the game, this may have been a misprint, and because I was not at the game to see the line of recruits that you are talking about. You could be completely right, I was just going off what I had read.
