Pundits are Picking OSU to Upset TTU

Now that the Texas Victory has started to wear off, many of the Sports writers and Pundits are saying they do not think TTU can go toe to toe with OSU after such a hard fought win over Texas.

They have said that TTU does not have enough in the gas tank to get it done. They even suggest that our Red Raiders are looking past OSU to Oklahoma.

The spread is narrowing as of today from 10 points on Sunday to 6 on Tuesday to 3 today. Its got me wondering if they will call it even by Saturday or make the Raiders the underdog. I kind of doubt that but its very obvious that the spread is significantly narrowing.

This Narrowing started after the NFL pick 6 picked the NFL top games then went on to pick Alabama v LSU and OSU v TTU. The NFL picked Alabama huge over LSU in a day game and picked OSU over TTU because they say we can not stop the run. They even went so far to suggest that Crabtree is overrated and Harrell is an unproven QB who has not shown enough to impress anyone over the last couple of years.

It was harsh on the NFL network pick 6 show.

But I hope people tell our boys that they are being called a fluke and that they will lose not only this Saturday but they are even suggesting that TTU loses to Oklahoma and Baylor because as they put it, too much power in row sinks the run.

But I am starting to hear this on ESPN which does not suprise me along with other pundits from other sporting news places. There are a few who are picking TTU but the margin right now is 4 to 1 against TTU winning over the next two to three games.

But EXACTLY what they need to keep saying. Tech’s BCS berth will be proven on the field with out a doubt.

I love the doubters

The doubters add fuel to the fire and seem to give the Red Raiders that extra push, I hope they continue to rag on, discredit, and debate Tech’s legitimacy. In the end, it makes things much sweeter for the team and fans alike.

Also, who listens to NFL pundits anyway? I like to refer back to the preseason where the pundits, said that the Falcons and Dolphins had no chance of winning in this season ( what are they doing now?). Also, they selected the Cowboys, Pats, Chargers, and Colts all to pretty much run the table, and right now these teams are looking mediocre at best. So when it comes to the NFL pundits, their research and opinions seem to be equivalent to the research of Unicorns and Leprechauns, i.e. irrelevant.

I agree

I was watching a replay of a game and walked away after the game ended and left the TV on. When I came back into the living room they were talking about Alabama LSU and OSU TTU match ups. I decided to watch. I was not impressed myself.

Then I watched over the last two days ESPN Sportstoday and they were repeating what the NFL guys were saying with a couple quoting.

I understand that these guys see the NFL as the end all of sport broadcasting. But the truth is that they almost never get it right. I liked the ESPN reported who pointed out that Coach Knight picked more winners than all of the pundits of ESPN combined!

But I thought I would let people know that the pundits who are the AP in what they think.
These guys also effect the coaches poll as well. So it does have an effect on our ranking in the end. As sad and unfortunate as it is.

But no I do not buy into those guys. But I do like to listen to some of their comments because sometimes it funny as hell to actually see some stupidity on display before the nation.

No need to worry

I’ve been playing my NCAA 09 on my wii every thursday before a game. I just completed my TTU vs OSU game.

TTU 91 OSU 7.

Note: This was done with No tweeking of the players.

I’m not saying that the score will be the same.. But their secondary won’t be able to handle crabbtree. We will blow them out. I feel so much better now.

I'm just playing

How the game came out of the box… I played it with how the guys at EA ranked each player in the nation.

I was playing with Leach’s playbook and dominated. Tech will win this game on Sat. I have no doubts.

Heard it all before...

After the UMASS game…everyone said Tech would stump their toe with Kansas State- Didn’t Happen
Then it was “Don’t overlook Nebraska” – One game at a time
“A&M at home will be tough” – It was, but still a win
“Tech’s finally playing a real team with Kansas” – Demolished them…
We beat the #1 Texas and everyone says “that makes your season and you’re done”.
Now eveyone thinks we can’t keep it up for OSU and we can’t deal with success…
When are we going to get some respect….
I can’t wait for us to run the table and win out so there will be no more comments.
