RAIDER!!!

Penn State down… Alabama? Who knows. Block kick with 12 seconds left.

... I'm just sayin'

by antiswarm on Nov 8, 2008 6:17 PM CST reply actions

Tech wins this, they’re #1, hands down.

... I'm just sayin'

by antiswarm on Nov 8, 2008 6:19 PM CST reply actions

This night

I am getting nervous! #3 gone and #1 about to be.

This could be an ominous night for the top 5!

by Red Raider in South GA on Nov 8, 2008 6:23 PM CST reply actions

Rats!

Alabama hung on!

If Tech can blow out OSU, we could claim #1 tomorrow.

by Red Raider in South GA on Nov 8, 2008 6:26 PM CST reply actions

naa...

the Es E C is like the greatest conference ever…

by Freneau on Nov 8, 2008 6:28 PM CST up reply actions

I don’t even think we need a blowout. I think a two touchdown cruise would do it. At least it should.

... I'm just sayin'

by antiswarm on Nov 8, 2008 6:27 PM CST reply actions

Nope

They won’t drop the number one team if they win. Ever. And they shouldn’t. Face it, if this is a close game, we will possibly (not probably, but possibly) be jumped by Texas and/or OU.

by Tech92 on Nov 8, 2008 6:38 PM CST up reply actions

remember...

Tech was already tied for #1 with the computer rankings. We also tied with Penn State. With Penn State dropping, more votes will go to Tech as well, and Ala will likely lose some. Shoot. Shut up self. Let’s just win this one BIG.

Right.. TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS

... I'm just sayin'

by antiswarm on Nov 8, 2008 6:28 PM CST reply actions

To stay number 2

I really think we need to win in impressive fashion. I really think the voters would love to put a 11-1 Texas into the MNC if they can. To do that, they need to leapfrog Tech.

by Tech92 on Nov 8, 2008 6:40 PM CST reply actions

…and the Aggie whipping was delicious to watch. Even if it didn’t do Tech any favors, I still loved it. Those never give up fans were filing to the exits at halftime.

by Tech92 on Nov 8, 2008 6:43 PM CST reply actions

Yo What Up

Hopefully my presence in this gameday thread won’t result in another Nevada-like performance

by mojavereject on Nov 8, 2008 6:55 PM CST reply actions

Argh

The S/O just texted me from the game… I hate being stuck in California (especially because ABC’s airing Cal/USC instead of Tech/OSU)

by mojavereject on Nov 8, 2008 7:00 PM CST reply actions

ESPN 360

If you go to the ESPN website, you might be able to view the game on ESPN 360.

I had to watch several games that way here in South GA.

Ugh…what a beating. I lived in SF for two years and felt like I had fallen into a college football black hole.

Okay, this is sort of how we looked in non-conference play. Just stay calm…but Tech is very good at playing from behind.

Harrell is different

In the Big XII…OU, OSU and a few others, the QB can’t make decisions. They have to look at the sideline to get the call. Harrell is on his own to figure it out.

Curious…wonder what would happen if Harrell just came to the line and called the snap. OSU seems to be doing the same thing their offense is. After about 4-5 secs they look over to the sidelines for the “final” defensive call.

by Tech92 on Nov 8, 2008 8:26 PM CST reply actions

look at that

your quarterback has time to let the ball fall on the ground, pick it up and make a throw.

Who is this Dez Bryant that was supposed to outplay Crabtree? Anyone seen him?

he's the kid

pouting on the OSU bench, nursing his overblown sense of entitlement

No fan o munsingeek

….however, he does not pose like corso et al. He does give the Raiders some credit. I think he must be on his meds….

I don’t see how OSU has anything that can stop Tech. It’s almost like they aren’t really trying that hard on defense.

Coach has to check to make sure you’re not going to throw this one to any unicorns or leprechauns

You know for a QB with a reputation

of being kind of a creampuff, the fact that he gets fired up after big hits instead of crumpling like tissue paper is a big positive in my book

as an OSU alumnus living in Minneapolis...

I have to say, I’d love for OSU to win, but on the other hand, it’s time to have somebody from the south-central (ie, texas or okla) be #1 in the NCAA.

May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

I think if I still lived in the west Okla/Texas, east New Mexico area, I’d still be fiercely pro-OSU only. But after 10 years of living with these Great Lakes Yanks, I really wanna see my native region prevail. OSU can’t this year, but TTech could…

As a current resident of Milwaukee, WI I hear that . . . .

. . . I don’t even hate the Longhorns anymore. (And was thrilled to see the Big Ten dealt a blow today.)

hee hee. Yeah, that was pretty sweet.

And of course tomorrow is the great Vikes v Packs game, about which I care not, but the “people-watching” can’t be beat!

That was a Shipley-esque play from last week!

by Red Raider in South GA on Nov 8, 2008 8:34 PM CST reply actions

Yeah…..opposing receivers have dropped a lot of balls the last two weeks. Have to wonder if home field advantage isn’t at play.

by Tech92 on Nov 8, 2008 8:36 PM CST reply actions

So far dez does not have the after catch moves

I have not seen him play this year. Crab def beats him as a ball carrier…….

It is so hard to not skip to the end….. I won’t skip, but I can’t wait to see how the Raiders finish.
