The LSU-’Bama thread at the end.
They’re convinced the SEC is it, man. That Florida was the best team in the nation because Florida will beat ’Bama.
Talk about xenophobic.

It’s amazing what a little defense does for a team! Let’s hope it doesn’t come down to the wire like last week…We’re up big, we need to keep piling it on with offense and keep up the tenacious defense!!!
he is every where these days . . just thought that he might make the osu / TTU game . . :-)

I like his height and I've seen tape of him playing basketball
I say throw some pads on him and give Graham another target
We gotta, ya know, spread the wins around a little
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
Am i the only OSU alum here???
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
after that fumble, I bet I remain so.

Cream the freakin Sooners for me, will ya?
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
I just KNEW there was a reason I divorced myself from OSU ball for years
We used ta go down to the stadium (1993-1997) to party and make noise, and whenever we won, it was astonishing. We were never disappointed by a loss because we sucked so bad. Oh well. Some things never change.
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
Nah! I'll take 'em!
The thing that’s fun about being an OSU cowboys fan is that every loss is considered par for the course, and every win is a fantastic occasion and total surprise.
I wear my OSU gear, win or lose.
So you bet I’d take my freebies from T Boone Pickens. Go pokes!
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
Yup, but fortunately for you, your opponents...
…still can’t capitalize on them.
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
they
showed their hand too early.
that was a dumb defense by OSU.

Funny, everyone swore to me that OSU was sooooo better than us, and we were going to get spanked.
I hate liars.
... I'm just sayin'
well
you have to be honest with yourselves.
as an outsider last week’s win over Texas was the first time in your history you’d proven yourselves over a big team in a really big game.
that means a lot.

yeah . . my nephew that goes to OSU was giving me the line that Dez Bryant's stats were better than Crab's

I got fed up last week with the talk about TU and their “4 game journey” and how they should be NC’s.
I kept saying, “What if TECH goes through the same ‘4 game journey’ and wins?”
The cliche of “no respect” is overused. But I believe it truly applies here.
by Red Raider in South GA on Nov 8, 2008 9:12 PM CST up reply actions
they needed us to lose
fall backwards into the Big XII championship, so it’s not surprising they talked themselves into that scenario
Look, the least you can do for me
…after opening a can of whoopass on my c’boys, is BEAT THE LIVING HELL OUT OF THE SOONERS. I hate those mo-fos!
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
Dude, he hung on to it!
Do you think scoring TDs is actually in the game plan after all??
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
ok that
was not super impressive. Are we still playing man or have we shifted back into zone? (for those watching)
This just in:
Idea of winning (or even losing closely) blows OSU’s minds. In defense, they snap an extra point like a bunch of girl scouts. SHeesh.
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
so much time
in this game. so much yardage to be gained.

that
play earlier is what i love about your offense. can’t find anyone to throw to, throw to a guy underneath or in the flat and he still gets 10-12 yards. amazing.

sorry, but
Tech has beat Texas, is stomping OSU…to all those boys at BON…you are CLEARLY the second best option in the state…and it’s not close.
Dang it.
Well, better to lose bigtime to a very talented team, than to lose bigtime to a bunch of punk-ass bitches from the coasts.
Texas Tech, do our region proud! (and please don’t kill any OSU players on the way; they still might have a future with the Detroit Lions!)
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
Thanks, man
I take it all in stride anyway. And the Detroit Lions comment is actually an homage to Barry Sanders, perhaps the greatest OSU player in the NFL, who happened to play for a mediocre team. But we still love ’im.

i hate to say this

This is definitely a dream year for Tech. (Much like '05 Texas)
It’s going to be so disappointing watching Tech next year, though. With or without Leach, Tech will be so much less entertaining next year. Oh well, congrats on your success of late.
So horn, what's your background?
…college FB wise, that is. Sounds like you’re a visitor, not a TTech fan. (I am an OSU fan here to “hang” with the opposing team)

Just a 'Horn dropping by to congratulate Tech on the win.
I was hoping it would be closer because I have nothing else to do at the moment, but oh well.

I'm tired of the
commentators constantly suggesting that other programs could have Leach at the asking. As if no coach in their right mind would stay in Lubbock.
Good grief
Pokes might as well just escort them down to the endzone carrying TTech banners.

Two weeks in a row we’ve been fantastic in front of a national audience. Think HS kids don’t dig this???
Now what we need is a great HS fb player...
…who also wants to be a great electrical engineer, because Texas Tech has the greatest Pulsed Power engineering department in the world, bar none. That’s why I still go back to TTech now and then professionally. TTech research helps keep us safe from our enemies.
And that has been tonight’s shameless plug for the engineering-defense industry. Nuff said.
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
Dear friends, OSU plays OU for Thanksgiving.
It’s an annual tradition. If it’s not too much trouble, please have them well-tenderized for us by then. I will be driving down 14 1/2 hours from minneapolis for the occasion, and I’d be much obliged if the sooners are freshly humiliated.
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
I think we will do the same thing in Norman in two weeks. I thought OSU would also beat OU. But after tonight, not so much.

Yes, and often a point of big time contention
But I like his “wildman” spirit. Reminds me of the “old” Tom Brady when he could whip NE into a frenzy to come from behind and win against the odds. Got the same calculating but crazy look about him.
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
Whaddya think of his actual heismann chances?
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.
If Tech wins out, I think it will be Harrell
by Red Raider in South GA on Nov 8, 2008 10:08 PM CST up reply actions
i think
it’s damned hard for a school without a Heisman winner to actually win one.
the Heisman has nothign to do with deserved (think of deserved as in "Unforgiven")
all those guys who won one, vote. Those guys are all from established schools. it’s hard for them to welcome a new school, I think, into the fold.

The question is:
Is that the 1st or 2nd string defense in there? It would just be interesting to know. But I just feel that without Crabtree/Harrell next year, Tech will take a huge slide.
by HornPossessed on Nov 8, 2008 10:14 PM CST up reply actions
probably a
good point, but that’s next year. and we haven’t finished this one.
Tech is great this year. let them enjoy it.
