Fire Mike Leach
Absolutely disgusting. As a Texas Tech alumnus and Red Raider fan, I am appalled at what Mike Leach is doing with this program. 10 wins? And we still have 2 games left in the regular season. As any Aggie, Longhorn, or Sooner will tell you, we Red Raiders are content with 7 or 8 win seasons and mid-tier bowls. Ten wins is completely unacceptable. We need to show him the door right away or else this program is going to be highly successful on a regular basis.
We are supposed to be a great show on offense, pass-happy, defense-less, and only be an occasional spoiler of another team’s season. We now have 2 wins over top-10 teams. I can deal with one, but that is all. We have one of the top defenses in the country, first in the conference. What the hell is he doing? Trying to ruin our reputation? What does he not understand about “all offense, no defense?” To make it worse, his offense is averaging over 130 rushing yards a game. The Air Raid is not supposed to run the ball. As Mike Gundy put it so nicely last year, IT MAKES ME WANT TO PUKE.
I will be sending hate-mail to both Leach and Meyers this week about this horrible situation we have. Surely the fan-base and boosters agree with me, because this is nothing like the Texas Tech team all of us demand.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors.

Bring back TIES
Your right. In this new age of bi-party-ship, all game results should end in a tie. Back in the old days, ties were possible. We should have no losers……..

Somebody get a rope
Who was supposed to hand out the guide books? They clearly state that the team must pee down their leg following every big win. We’ve been using those books since the Donny Anderson days so I know there’s got to be plenty of copies available. I demand an investigation.

Completely Unacceptable
just as all aggies will tell you, Texas Tech is supposed to be a perennial loser…..we’ve never won anything and the aggies have been such a staple on the national football scene……oh, wait, thats just what they claim, but I’ll bet no one alive today can remember the last time they had a 10 win season where they were ranked in the top 2……

It's very clear to me
that Mike Leach has no respect for College Football or for scripts. Texas Tech is not one of the five someodd preordained top team material. His insistence on continuing to win is maddening and the man needs to be stopped. I know at least one Red Raider who is starting to believe his school is comparable in football to Texas and OU, which is simply ridiculous. Obviously we have no business being in the same sentence as them.
I’ll register a website immediately.

We are on the precipice
if we don’t act quickly, we will find ourselves recruiting and playing competitively with the best teams in the country every single season. I KNOW, it disgusts me too. Unite for change. Fire Mike Leach.

Where is Beergut when we need him?
I agree… Disgusting. I mean, Yes, I was happy at 8 wins. I smiled a bit at 9, but this is over the top. I mean, what am I supposed to do now, start drinking Lattes and prognosticating on how someone else’s team can defend the spread? Frankly, as I said, I was happy at 8 wins, but now that I see what direction this has gone, I’d much rather have aggies record. I mean, at least they have something to look forward to. In fact, I think we should give Texas back that game… because the refs were obviously pro-dry city-alcohol free-dusty-battery throwing-inbred-goalpoast wielding-classless clown. Obviously. And we should give back the Okie State win, because that was just mean, and it doesn’t give us anything to reach for next year. Leach should be fired, and we should ask… nay… DEMAND… that Tech hire someone that will spend three years rebuilding, then, just as they start to win… we fire them too!
We, the oversatisfied fans with low expectations have been SCREWEDED… HARD.
FIRE MIKE LEACH!!!
... I'm just sayin'

Let’s don’t just focus on football, either. Look at the academic side of the coin. All this winning will no doubt start bringing money into the school – money that we all know should rightfully go to UT and A&M. Let’s face it, UT needs a new fountain a lot more than we need some new gadget for the EE department to play with, or an addition to the medical school, or some fancy-smancy gizmo for the wind turbine geeks. Where’s the future in that? Any fool knows it’s more important for UT to indoctrinate more young Texans with PC liberalism than for us to make breakthroughs in green technologies to save the environment.
Speaking of the environment, think about all that noise and dust we will create when we start building more classrooms and such. Just the thought of it should disgust us all. Hell, the next thing you know some lame administrator will think we need athletic facilities as nice as that sports complex Midland built for its high schools.

Order must be restored...
Not only are Coach Leach and the Red Raiders’ infamous accomplishments on the football field upsetting to the solid tradition of "almost good" and "nearly excellent" at Texas Tech, but I don’t think the powers that be in collegiate athletics realize the gravity of this situation. The established order of the entire college football world is at risk. A non-traditional coach running an unconventional offense at a step-child school with a bunch of less-than-blue-chip athletes continues its journey on an unprecedented path of success. The big money schools with the well-earned reputations are being seriously imperiled by this insignificant upstart from the treeless, dusty and backward West Texas plains. This is unconscionable!
And these pretenders have the audacity to think they can be competitive with the University of Texas, Texas A&M, and the University of Oklahoma on a regular basis. This cannot stand. It should be obvious to everyone with any loyalty or decency, after all, that what’s good for Texas Longhorn football, to paraphrase a famous CEO of General Motors, is good for the country!
And what’s possibly even worse, the graduation rate of Texas Tech football players is tops in the conference and among the best in the country—again. There’s no way that Texas Tech can be allowed to succeed with the type of athletes that perform both on the field and in the classroom.
There is only one solution to this scourge on the NCAA and all it stands for. We call for—no, we demand the immediate resignation of Coach Leach! The amusingly proud, but misguided players and supporters of Texas Tech must be put back in their proper place. The unquestioned authority and privileged position of entrenched interests and institutions must be maintained for the good of all collegiate athletics.

Mutiny is serious crime...
Mateys the only possible result of mutiny is the gallows.. so convene the courts martial and hang the guilty swine. Order must be restored. Ye must know all Pirates face the gallows… what was I thinking Raiders atop the Big 12 South … why pigs must fly before such blasphemeous goings on. Find the scoundrel Leach and let justice be done…

phew..
Had me double taking for a second haha.. Dude, I remember when we “just couldn’t get 10 wins” or “just couldn’t play a complete game/run the ball/play ANY defense” or “just couldn’t beat the powerhouses”.. A new wave is comin’, cause pirates can beat soldiers, longhorns, cowboys, and damn sooners!!
