Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Present and Accounted for at the Cotton Bowl

Fellow Double T members and Red Raiders!  I was fortunate enough to recieve a ticket to the Cotton Bowl for Christmas.  I was wondering if any of you were going to be present?  If so would it be possible to rally the Double T troops before the game?  It does not matter to me if it is a tailgate or a nearby bar.  Just a thought?  I fly in from Memphis on the day of the game and would be happy to meet up before the game.

Let me know if you are in the area and interested.

Parents and I are driving up from Houston on Friday morning. We’re probably not getting there until about 11:30 or noon because we’ll be in what little rush hour traffic there may be on January 2nd.

After all is said and done, more is said than done.

shouldn’t hit much coming in from the south from either 35 or 45. the distance for both roads, once you hit downtown dallas, is minuscule.

I would love to stop by and meet you guys. Seth you are in Dallas I believe, can you recommend a bar near by if we dont have a tailgate?

Cotton Bowl

We will be coming in from Midland on Wednesnday. We usually tailgait at every home game, but being in Dallas for a few days prior to the game we didn’t want to worry about the pit and all the B.S. that we usually bring and try to keep it all secure. Also bringing all four kids, so we will have our hands full. We are meeting some friends who live in Mesquite at the Alumni tailgait party that starts around 10:00. I would love to meet up with some of you guys. I think I read in an earlier post that Seth has a Double T Nation t-shirt. I thought it would be cool to print up some shirts for some of the Double T Nation faithful to wear at weekends like this. We have a lot of shirts and polos printed or embroidered for our medical clinic, if anyone is interested we could easily get this done. See you all at the game.

Crossing my fingers that work will let me take the day off. If I get the day off, I will be there.

If DoubleT Nation had a Tshirt for sale, I’d floss it.

I've got a keg!

Dallas is now home. I’m hosting a tailgate for friends and raider fans. Come have some beer at my tailgate! My future in-laws “her dad was a a brief football asst coach at tech in the 80’s” will be bringing thier nice RV. Shoot me an email if you want to find us and party. cmpolito@gmail.com. We’ll be in the RV Section around 9:30 game day.

That would be cool if Double T Nation has a tailgate before the game….would be cool to meet all of you. Let me know where and when and me and my wife will stop by. BTW, this would be my wife’s first ever Tech game (she’s an east coast gal who went to college at an all women’s school) so I hope to show her the spirit of true Red Raider fans!!!

That ought to be an eye opener for her.

To this day I remember the noise level at my first home game in the student section.

Answering a couple of questions.

1. There’s no DTN t-shirts yet. I got busy during the year and I’ve never followed up on completing this project. I promise, this is next on my list of things to do.
2. I’m trying to figure out the best place to meet since none of us really know where we’re going to park. I’m up for suggestions.

The Alumni Association is having a pre-game party at the Automobile Building at Fair Park from 10-12:30 PM.

Whether there is cost to get in or free booze/food, that’s another question. Maybe someone on DTN is connected and can work a deal with the Ex-Students Association.

I am game to meet

just let me know the final decision location and I will be there. I will have my brother-in-law (fighting Illini) but he is a Raider fan when he is with me!!!!! Not sure how in the world we are going to know who we are meeting since I dont know what any of you look like!!!! This should be fun!

Here in Memphis I am surronded by Ole Miss fans, I have been standing my ground but i am clearly out numbered. It will be nice to be around a group of like minded Raider fans!!!!

let me know what we decide.

I would love to meet everyone but,

My wife is on call (physician) Friday and we decided it wouldn’t be fair for me to go without her. If she doesn’t have surgury Friday morning, where should I park so I can share some of my Shiner with y’all and be able to get back to my truck in time to get back to Plano by kick off?
