He's leaving us.
He's not answering his phone, even when Myers calls.... He's interviewing.... (sigh) I never thought that I'd say this... He's leaving. When it happens, I'll be beset with dissapointment. This sucks. But yeah, it's a business. For whatever naive reason, I just thought Leach would always stay at Tech because Tech and Leach are special together. Tech is special. In ways that only true Techsans know. The same reason Spike stayed for so long. If Mike leaves, I'll be crushed, because he still has so much to do! However, he has a family to think about, and one can't blame him for that. I just hate to think that this is the peak. Thoughts Raiders?

That's one leading title.
Thought I missed something as I’m now afraid to go to sleep.
Go Raiders . . .
Double-T Nation
Sorry.
I get what you’re saying…. haha… No I don’t have any insider info, I’m just going with my gut, and it’s feeling the same way it was right before the OU game. I feel an impending tragedy. I guess I fancy myself a prognosticator. :)
Go Tech!!!
Sorry but you're wrong
He’s staying. Ignore the indigestion, or constipation, whichever it is.
He’s not taking the WU job, and Auburn alum won’t want him. Trust me, he’s staying.
I’ll give odds.
Wes Welker can't be stopped.
something to consider...
I am not 100% sure but isn’t Leach’s daughter currently attending Texas Tech? One of my friends said she went through sorority rush. Do you think this will be one more reason not to leave?
My gut feeling is that he won’t leave. He still hasn’t won a Big 12 championship and I think that is what he set out to do. He is most likely positioning himself for a sweeter deal with Tech.

What about our seniors?!
How does this affect their psyche going into a big bowl game (whatever that may be)? What if he leaves? Ruff coaches and Graham calls the plays?! Holgorsen’s at UH now.
Go Tech!!!
my accounting professor is chairman of the athletic council
He thinks that Leach will probably take the job… but he said that was just a guy feeling… it is really too bad.
If he goes...
I will blame it on Myers for not making an offer he can’t refuse earlier! If Tech Becomes the next IOWA State of the Big 12… I want Myers to be tossed!

I really don’t think MONEY is the issue here. I think it is a personal issue with someone in administration, MEYERS, HANCE, SOMEBODY ,ETC. … Leach knows he has a great gig here at TT, likes TT, knows TT will pay all they can honestly afford, and yet has a thorn in his butt about something, and has for the last 3-4 years. Leach is way too smart to start all over at UW, AUB, compared to what he has established in Lubbock, the RISK_REWARD issue is just too high at either of those schools. Something is just there, TO MAKE HIM START LOOKING OVER THE FENCE EVERY YEAR,,and I dont think it is MONEY.
P.S.
I think his agent is too blame for a lot of this money s**t. ,,, not Leach. It will be difficult for either side to save face if this is not settled ASAP.
Who do we have next?
Fortunately though we have a few options now if Leach leaves:
1.Tommy Tuberville
2.Phil Fulmer
3.Chris Petersen(will he leave Boise?)
I am not particularly impressed with Art Briles, Sonny Dykes, Dana Holgorsen or Venable (Oklahoma). Briles could not make Houston the best team even in Conference USA, Big XII will be a long shot, he will descend us down the ladder of mediocrity. Sonny, Dana and Venable are all good co-ordinator type of people, I think they will take some more seasoning before they can be competitive Big XII coaches. Muschamp did not impress me with Texas’s offense, given the recruiting year they have had over the past few years.
Yeah, Briles' 4-8 season is not quite enough for me to jump on his bandwagon just yet
Some will say that the game in Lubbock proves something, but losing a close game to a team that just had it’s hearts crushed the week before, with Crabtree on the sidelines in street clothes, Charbonet still woozy from getting rocked at OU, and a QB with two fingers shattered, and I think we had another guy or two hurt that missed that game.
I do think Briles is a good coach…I’m just not there yet
In no way shape or form do I want Tubberville or Fulmer on Tech’s campus. Fulmer is a Tenn boy and Tubberville would use Tech as a launching point, not a landing spot.
Leach for Tuberville...
Doesn’t seem fair. Auburn should throw in a couple of recruits or an offensive coordinator.
I keep hearing
….that Tubbs had been talking to Miss. St. after Croom’s left. This is one reason why he got canned yesterday. That and AU talked to three people close to Leach and heard he’d be interested.
I don’t think we’d get Tubbs.

Mushamp used to be at Auburn........
and there is some logic that says he might want to go back despite the raise………….bet Major would help him pack.
