Mac Brown is Delusional
Mac Brown had UT ranked 2nd and OU 3rd in the coaches poll. I assume his logic was that they beat UT, so they should be ranked ahead of them. How about the only team to beat his sorry behind? He placed Tech 8th.....
Mac is sorry, very sorry. He is such a weasel that he should be a politician. I can't cheer for a team that he coaches (which I usually do when a Big 12 team plays another conference). Go Ohio State.....

From what I’ve seen, his biggest talents are recruiting and politicking, along with hiring good assistants and talking the school into looking the other way when the subject of academics comes up. Like any other politician, everything he says and does goes through a ’what’s best for me’ filter.

I've met him and had several covos with him at Dirty Martin's in Austin TX...
He’s a very nice guy. A shit talker, but in a good, funny way, definitely a politician, friendly, and certainly the “face” of the program. He knew I was from Tech, and one day he brought Spike Dykes in to meet me. Very nice of Mac. I could never say anything bad about him.

LMAO!
I love it when we beat every team in Texas but we have forgotten that TU has the God given right every year of being the champ. The best part is they wonder why everyone in the nation paints them with the crybaby stroke every year. Accept you got beat this year and it will probably continue to happen. How does it feel to know that if that overrated joke of a team wouldn’t have beat you, you would be heading to Miami?

Shouldn’t you be on Cincy and TCU’s forums whining that they won too much and boosted OU’s strength of schedule above UT’s? It’s amazing that the only part of the polls that could be swayed by whining were the only ones that UT was ahead of OU in last week.
It’s still pretty funny to all of us that Mack and his cronies spread throughout the national coaching ranks want to rank UT high but Tech low. Do none of them realize that the lower Tech is ranked, the worse UT looks?
Which is a measure of being more overrated? Losing as the #2 team or as the #1 team. Losing to the team in the national championship game? Not so bad. Losing as the #1 team, especially to such a baaaaaaaaaad team, would seem to be the epitome of overrated.

MENSA
Well Hook’em 13,
At least we know that you didn’t stumble in from the Mensa board. Yes, Leach had Tech at #2 genius….but had the balls to place UT #5 (only behind Alabama and Florida). That comes with the territory when you lose to a team EINSTEIN. Meanwhile, Hack Brown (is he Mr Haney from Green Acres?) has Utah and Penn State ahead of the only team to beat him.
It must suck losing to a team as sorry and undeserving as Tech. So what was UT’s record when you were attending DeVry?
By the way chucklehead, we DO have room to talk ….we beat your ass. We will take our grief from OU fans (real ones, not the ones that have just driven through Norman to go to a Stuckey’s)…..but not from you entitled twits.

I live in Austin, and have to hear this shit all the time.....
and I’m tired of it. GET OVER YOURSELF! You lost! That’s it. Period. Over. You had your chance. All you had to do is beat Tech and the BCS and ESPN would be sucking you off like they always do. Then, the head2head argument would matter. But it doesn’t. Know why? CAUSE YOU LOST AT TECH… Idiot.

ALL ALUMNI POLITICS
Can’t blame SCREACH, CLOWN or STOOLS for voting the way they did,,, thats what they get paid millions to do. [ part of the job description] Voting is public knowledge, so they have to vote,, as the alumni would like to SEE, Alums pay their salary,,ALL ALUMNI POLITICS, I’d do the same for 3-4 mil / yr,,,,,,,,,,,I think, ,,,,,, u think ? Yeah, most definitely——GO MATADORS

They vote the way they do to help themselves out. UT needed every fraction of a point it could get in the BCS standings. He was doing waht he had to do to ensure his team a BCS spot with an outside chance at the MNC. The coaches poll is far from unbiased.

The coaches should not have a voice in the BCS
Too many clear biases. I don’t agree with Mack that Tech is the 8th best team in the country. However, I also don’t agree that Tech is the 2nd best team in the country.
Even so, thank goodness it’s over. On to bigger and better things, like cheering for Tech to destroy Ole Miss and for Texas to pummel OSU…. and for the Sooners to get their asses handed to them.
Thank goodness Gary Danielson isn’t calling that game.

Good points
I think that the coaches have WAYY too many personal agenda’s. I have no issues with the Harris poll, although some of those voters have been shown to be a bit biased, as well. What I’d like to see for the polls from, say, week 6 forward, is a panel chosen by the BCS/NCAA to handle that piece of the formula. Similar to the basketball selection committee but whereby these guys are held accountable, i.e. public voting.
I am not sure if the BCS/Coaches poll tosses out your highest single vote and lowest single vote to stabilize votes like Leach and Brown submitted.

They don't toss out the highest and lowest vote
But if they did, Mack’s vote wouldn’t be dropped. In Tech’s case that would be Leach and TCU’s Gary Patterson. Mack had you guys exactly at your average.

Tha twasn’t aimed at MB or UT…just a general thought that the entire thing isn’t trasnparent enough all season. Why wait unitl the end of the year for these guys to have public votes? I realize if that was the case, nobody would vote. Who needs that headache when you’re trying to coach a team and deal with the obvious distractions? I wouldn’t want yet another one to have to answer to on the Big XII conf call every Monday.

Why are all the horn guys hanging around offering all their negative tidbits recently? Are they mad at us because the whining campaign didn’t work? That wasn’t our fault. Still mad about 39-33? Don’t they have a new ‘enemy’ to harass (OSU)?

Like a 2 dollar crack whore,
UT fans swallowed every last drop of OU’s victory over Texas Tech, only disappointed that OU didn’t score more; but to what end? They thought an OU victory would help UT!
Pinheads! When in the past has an OU victory done anything but hurt UT?
Now, weeks later, they still can’t purge that taste from their mouths.
Wes Welker can't be stopped.

I don’t mind Horn fans stopping by at all if they want to exchange grown up dialoge…but when they bring nothing to the table and just want to get everyone riled up, like that kid Hook ’em 13, it does nothing but lower the collective IQ of the discussion.

I actually don’t mind the adult ones who just want to talk football. But it irks me that 90% of them can’t resist at least one little dig in every post. Sometimes it’s blatant and sometimes it’s veiled, but almost all of them are critical in one way or another. Maybe it’s not always intended as a dig from their perspective, but when you show up on another team’s boards and start debating their issues, you have to know it’s not going to sit well. Doing it in the off season when emotions are all cool is one thing, but to try that during the season is pretty much a guarantee of hard feelings.
Then there are the ones that are pure trolls one week and act shocked when they’re not welcomed with open arms the next (the1Austin).

Follow up
My Point in saying that Brown was delusional was based on the fact that every coach pays respect to the team(s) that beat them by rating them highly. The fact that Mac Brown placed Tech ‘at their average’ (new Austin math) doesn’t cut it in my opinion. Mac had a sideline view of UT getting their ass beat. Maybe, I should have phrased it better…..Mac is as delusional as UT fans are. They can’t/won’t admit that they got beat. Again, check the stats…no fluke. The fluke was a 91 yard pass and a punt return with 2 blocks in the back (one not called and one with the flag mysteriously picked up). Graham and Crabs have been consistenly making big plays like the last one of that game. Baby arm…
