Wooooo! Chris Perry is Eligible . . . This Year!

Don't ask me how or why, but the NCAA has granted a waiver filed by Texas Tech to allow defensive tackle Chris Perry to be eligible this fall to play and practice immediately. Perry will have 4, that's right, 4 years of eligibility. Perry transferred from Miami to Texas Tech and started taking classes this spring. More on this tonight.

Yes
Perry is the big (300+ pound) guy we've been looking for on the D line!  Praise the football gods the offerings worked!!!  With him and Whitlock in the middle, and possibly Agoucha and also Henly, this could be huge.

Think about this D with Dixon and Sesay on the ends with the above DTs in the middle with an improved linebacking core behind them!

H-O-L-Y
Crap!!!  That is awesome!!

Perry is literally 6'3" 310 lbs.  He was a very highly recruited talent coming out of high school and chose Miami over several other impressive SEC offers (and OU).  He will come in and contend for a spot right away!  He may even start depending on how Henley and Whitlock perform.  He is the ideal size for a run-stuffing DT.

Man we needed that!!!!

nice
I hope Perry can play somewhere close to the level of his offer list.  If so, we will be in damn good shape.
