Texas Tech Saturday Morning Notes - A Transfer (?) Edition

Double-T Nation News:

It's prretty quiet this morning.

Texas Tech Football:

For the football starved, new article from the FWST on former Red Raider and current Dallas Cowboy Zach Thomas.

Fox34 has video clips on Danny Amendola's most recent OTA practices with the Dallas Cowboys (very little video of actual practice) and Sammy Morris, former Red Raider and current New England Patriot, promoted his football camp.

Texas Tech Basketball:

RedRaiderSports.com is reporting that there's been a transfer on the basketball team and since I don't have a subscription to either pay website, so I thought I might use some deductive reasoning as to who might be leaving. Remember, if it's not made public, then don't leave a comment. Anyway, let's take a look at the roster as it stands now, which includes the following:

1. Esmir Rizvic
2.  Trevor Cook
3.  Rogdrick Craig
4.  Michael Prince
5.  D'Walyn Roberts
6.  Mike Singletary
7.  Damir Suljagic
8.  Ricardo De Bem
9.  Alan Voskuil
10.  John Roberson

And the following newcomers:

1.  Robert Lewandowski
2.  Corbin Ray
3.  Darko Cohadarevic
4.  Nick Okorie
5.  Tyree Graham

That's 10 returning players and 5 signees. The NCAA allows 13 on a roster.  I'm not sure how Rizvic's scholarship counts since he is only eligible for half of a year. We also know that Graham hasn't qualified yet.

With that out of the way, of the returning guys most likely to transfer would be Rogdrick Craig, Michael Prince and Ricardo De Bem. If I had to put money on it, I'd bet it's De Bem, for no other reason than he came into the program with a little bit of promise, but that just hasn't materialized and he wants some playing time. I could see Craig and Prince transferring, because of lack of playing time, but I just don't get the feeling it's either one of those guys.

In any event, I think that if it were someone ground-breaking, it would have been reported elsewhere.
