I had a
tough time as to whether or not UT should be in front of Kansas and whether or not TAMU should be in front of UT (because it’s in C.S.). Also, and this is a real question, but how much better is Nebraska than K-State? The fact that this game is in Manhattan should probably put this ahead of the Nebraska game. I’m just not sure about K-State.
Go Raiders . . .

I think
we’re such a good home team that I might even replace Nebraska with K State. Just my two cents.

Sigh
Man I want to get back to the days when a trip to Manhattan automatically put a game near the top of a “toughest” list.
We'll carry the banner high!

Swap
I think I would put Texas at number 2 and Kansas at 3. I think the Kansas defense is really going to have problems with us. I think Texas will be a highly over-rated 1 loss team coming into the Jones and really give us 3 good quarters of football. Now I do think that we blow them up in the 4th quarter. I’m not saying Texas is going to be great or anything, I just think they will play harder than Kansas at that time of the year.

Shrug
Without a doubt OU at #1 and as mentioned above I would consider putting Texas at #2. In my mind though #3 and #4 could go either way with Kansas and A&M. I know Kansas should have an overall better team than A&M but lets face it, Kyle Field is rough to play at and A&M hates us (even though it does go both ways). Go TECH

Drop Kansas down
While Kansas will be a good challenge, the Jaykawks won’t be the same team they were last year. I would slide Texas and Texas A&M up to the Nos. 2 & 3 spots, respectively and move Kansas down to No. 4. Texas will be out to prove they are still the best in Texas and the Aggies still have a nasty taste in their mouths from recent years. Should be two great games. Nebraska’s new coach and sense of unpredictability will make them a formidable No. 5. And there’s no debating the No. 1 spot.

4. KU *
5. KSU *
6. Nebraska
7. OSU

11. Baylor
12. E. Wash.

there is no way in hell Kansas is your second toughest game
That game will be a walk.
The Jayhawks are overrated, and reality will slap them in the face this season.

I disagree
I think the toughest challenge will be Dec. 6 vs. Mizzou in their home state.

Kansas
Kansas will do well to win 8 games this year. They were fantastic last yeare, but they lost several key contributors to the NFL and graduation. They return a decent number of starters, but they break in a new PK and punter. I don’t see them as a Rutgers type program that will sustain success after decades of failure. Our toughest games always have been, always will be OU and UT. We have to travel to Norman and we haven’t beaten Texas in several years.
Leach needs to somehow find a way to keep the team uber focused and team oriented this year (something he has NEVER been able to do; his major shortcoming a coach in my opinion) because while we are likely to be better than in ‘07, so are OU, Nebraska, KState, UT, and possibly A&M.
