OT: Mad Men

This past weekend, the wife and I stayed inside almost all day on Sunday after I had done yardwork almost all day on Saturday.  We both read our respective books in the morning (I'm reading A Walk In The Woods) and after lunch I turned on the TV and noticed that Mad Men was going to be on AMC all day.  I'd heard that this show was being nominated for a number of Emmy's but had never caught an episode.  I just happened to tune into the first episode (AMC was running an all day marathon) and after 5 minutes I was completely hooked.  I watched the entire first season yesterday.  I really don't watch television anymore (one of the many hazards of blogging), but I can guarantee you that I'll be tuned in on Sunday for season 2.  I'm not going to bother you with all of the details and go on and on about how great this show is, I'll just say that may have been the best TV drama I've ever seen.

Walk in the Woods

Great book. Couldn’t stop laughing. You have to try the Australian travel one. In A Sunburned Country also.

I’m really enjoying it now (it’s a really quick read) and I’ll make sure and pick up the Australian travel book after I finish this one.

Go Raiders . . .
