OU or A&M?
I only have enough money in my budget to go to one away game this year (of course that budget will increase to two if we make a BCS game) but I don't know which game I should go to, A&M or OU. So I am asking for your help.
I have never been to Norman. I know that isnt saying much but I would like to see what the OU campus looks like. This also could shape to be the big 12 south championship game if everything goes as planed. This also could be a top 5 game with Corso and gang showing up.
I went to the A&M game in 2006 and it was the best game I have ever been to. The silence that occured at Kyle Field after the Johnson touchdown was the greatest noise I ever heard. Also being a Tech fan in College Station is great too. Everyone hates you but they can't say anything because the comebacks that would follow would be unbearble for them.
So what do yall think, OU or A&M...

Im a Sooner who lives in Denver and the Tech game is the one game I am going to in Norman this year. Its going to be a great game and I wouldn’t miss it for an A&M game. Plus you could pi$$ ags off (and Im friends with a ton of them) if you told them you chose the OU game because the A&M/Tech game is “no longer relevant”. :)

i agree
i agree with you woodrow. The OU game this year has some potentially huge implications for the Big12 and hopefully national football scene. It could be like the Mizzou/Kansas or Mizzou/OU game from last year. a/m is fairly early in the year and they are not supposed to be that great. and any time you can piss off an aggie by telling them they are not relevant is reason enough to do it.

thanks guys
Ok the votes are in and tommorrow morning at 8:30 I will be purchasing 4 tickets to the OU game! I think they will either be $85 or $95 but it will be worth it. Oh and yeah I def agree with the comments, the A&M game isnt releative anymore. Go Tech!!

A comeback like pointing out how well you represent the fine Tech “ejukacion” you’ve received?
Well, I guess it is too late now to point out that by the time the OU game rolls around, it won’t be for the Big 12 South. You will already be out of the race by then.

Leave it to beergut...
to meticulously perlustrate an ephemeral post. Just proves the point that aggies have nothing to bring to an argument except a false sense of a better “ejukacion”. Way to confirm stereotypes that we Raiders have against Aggies. Keep up the good work on your spell check and grammar endeavors.

OU
I’ve been to games at both places over the last 20 yrs and you will be treated as an opposing fan MUCH better in Norman than in College Station. The way the Tech v. A&M rivalry has heated up, the fans are pretty nasty down there now towardss TTU fans. They claim to be classy and all that, and they may very well be most of the time, but when Tech comes to town, that’s thrown out the window. Shoot, even in the early 90s, the Aggie fans weren’t all that gracious.
A fun place to go to a game is Boulder. They aren’t the nicest fans there, either, but they can throw a blazing party – and they’ll invite you!!

Thats the truth, I went up to Boulder for the OU game last year. It was rough to say the least….

Beergut...
...why are all you Aggies so obsessed with Tech? Enough so that you’ll come on our fan site and post drivel? Surely it can’t be because you consider us a rival.
By the time the Ag’s roll around on our sched, they’ll already be out of it too. So no worries, fat boy : )

If you were impressed
If you were impressed with A&M, you will be totally shocked at OU. Although A&M has lots of tradition and lots of home fans. Its one notch below what happens in OU.
Its just totally different. They have the parking lot crowd, who show up to games and listen to the radio because they can not get any tickets and cheer from there.
Its simular to Nebraska, Michigan or Norte Dame in how they view football. Its something a Raider Fan should experience and see what changes are needed in Lubbock.
Although Tech Fans are improving and more excitement is happening, its just not at those kinds of levels.
You will know when Tech gets there when all tickets except student and general admission are sold out before June 30 to season ticket holders.
This is the best season as far as ticket sales are concerned. There is two games sold out with OSU not all that much far behind.
So see everyone this season as I am in sec 6 again and have additional tickets across the the way in sec 5.
