  1. Synopsis of the game in 12 words or less:  Crabtree plays with vengeance, EWU struggles on the O-line and Lewis shines.
  2. Offensive MVP:  Detron Lewis
  3. Defensive MVP:  Brandon Sesay
  4. Final Score:  TT 56, EWU 7

Wrech em Tech

I think you are right that Tech will score over 50 points, but I would be pleasantly suprised to see EWU held to 7 points given their QB & WR. And it’s either Lewis or Morris having a big game opposite Crabbtree’s 160 yrds and 3 TD’s. I can hardly wait to see the Raiders in action Saturday.

  1. Synopsis: EWU scores 3 in real-game, 14 in mop up. TTU’s offense struggles in early games.
  2. Offensive MVP: Shannon Woods
  3. Defensive MVP: Jamar Wall
  4. Final Score: TT 45, EWU 17

bonus prediction: Carona misses 1 kick, makes 1. Fowler misses 1.

Scoring D

Every preview I’ve seen on EWU says their offense is good and that Tech should expect them to score some. For the sake of my angst regarding the D in the rest of the season, I hope they pitch a shutout. Or at least keep it under 14.

I also hope Tech puts the ball on the ground at least 20 times, just to prove they can.

give me 25 times on the ground, would love to see all three (Woods, Crawford and Batch) get 7 carries tomorrow.

The real deal prediction:

Tech comes out on fire on both offense and defense. Graham Harrell throws for 567 yards with 6 TD’s in 3 quarters. Crabtree catches 9 balls for 187 yards and 2 TD’s. Lewis catches 11 balls for 178 yards and 2 TD’s. Emo catches 7 balls for 117 yards and 1 TD. Britton catches 6 balls for 85 yards and 1 TD. Potts throws a TD to Leong in mop up duty.

Shannon Woods adds 79 yards on the ground. Baron Batch adds 48 yards and 1 TD on the ground.

On D, the Red Raiders tally 5 sacks. Hold EWU to 67 yards on the ground and only 173 through the air. EWU gets 10 points total, but their only TD comes late against our 2nd and 3rd team D. There will be 2 interceptions (Wall and Charbonnet) and we will force 2 fumbles.

Carona goes 8 for 8 on XP’s and adds another 35 yard FG. LaCour doesn’t have to punt the ball 1 time.

Final Score: Tech 59 EWU 10

that would be

a great way to start the season and if Harrell gets 6 TD’s then he breaks the TT’s all-time record (I think)
