Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Prediction Time: SMU v. Texas Tech

v.

The SMU Mustangs (1-1,0-0) v. The Texas Tech Red Raiders (2-0, 0-0)
September 13, 2008 @ 6:00 p.m.
Television: Fox Sports Net
Radio: Texas Tech Affiliates
Weather: Lubbock, Texas

It's prediction time!

  1. Synopsis of the game in 20 words or less: Harrell's back baby! Bird and Duncan continue dominant defensive performances while Britton and Crabtree catch 3 TD's each.
  2. Offensive MVP: Graham Harrell
  3. Defensive MVP: Brandon Williams
  4. Final Score: Texas Tech 63, SMU 17

And just in case you're scoring at home, I had Duncan as the defensive MVP last week, and that just might have been the case. Score one for me.

Also, I won't hold you to your predictions if it rains cats and dogs.  You'll get a kitchen-pass.

Rain 1 – Lubbock 0

Being an accountant and famous don't go together. If you're a famous accountant, you probably did something wrong.

  1. Synopsis: Harrell does better against an awful SMU defense but he’s not the star. Crabtree is a man playing in a field of boys. Duncan has yet another stellar d performance but Daniel Charbonet steals the show.
  2. Offensive MVP: Crabs
  3. Defensive MVP: Daniel Charbonet
  4. Final Score: Texas Tech 63, SMU 17
