Left 2 TD's on the field
I’m kinda upset we left a TD out there at the end of both halves. I would have liked the shutout too, it was their backup QB after all.
I’ve still got an issue with the ref’s call when Harrell’s helmet came was pulled off. The rule is the rule, but the point of that rule is to protect the runner with the ball. If that’s the case, the play should have been called dead immediately. I was at the game, and it seemed like they let the play finish before then going back and saying the ball was dead when his helmet came off. So, they didn’t protect him, they penalized him. They let the play go on, putting him at risk, and because of that it should have been a TD. That was a bad call by the crew.
Anybody see it differently?

i agree...
the play should have been counted, just like any othe penalty, which we could decline…the worst part was that the refs neglected to put about 6 seconds back on the clock and we lost a play.

this is my big exception. the ref should have been running in there waving his hands, blowing his whistle, but he kinda watched the rest of the play and then did that. The time on the clock should have been 7 seconds, enough time for 2 passes

exactly
After thinking about it, it’s not so much the fact that we didn’t get a TD on that play, but more that
1. They let the play go on, and put Harrell at risk (that’s what the rule is supposed to prevent), when they should have immediately called the play dead.
2. The time was not put back on the clock from the time his helmet was off.
3. One more score would have beat the spread, and given me another point in the Yahoo Pick ’em! ARGGHH!!!
