Week 2

Looks about right. I agree

Immediately

I’d move Tech below Alabama and Kansas. West Virginia is waaaaay too high, ie, 6 spots. Clemson should be out.

This early in the season and there are plenty of 2-0 teams to fit into this top 25. Why would any team that is 1-1 be in there?

Just my 2 cents.

Go register. Or else.

alabama did not look good against a pretty weak tulane. Kansas looked about like we did against LA Tech.

West Virginia shouldn’t be higher than the team that beat them, though, and clemson doesn’t deserve to climb back in. I’d actually reward Wake for beating a plucky ole miss

Er...

I mean West Virginia is too low, I’d take them off the list.

Go register. Or else.

I also...

still think there’s no need for a 1 loss team to be on the above list in lieu of plenty of undefeated teams.

If Fresno State can get on the list I think UCLA should be on the list as well.

I agree, Wake Forest looks sharp.

Maybe instead of critiquing yours I should just come up with my own list…

Go register. Or else.

Reason for West Virginia

Is where they are is because of the fact they are in the Big Easy or Big East Conference. It is likely that they will finish 10-2 or 11-1 as bad as they are this years. Just a matter of how their schedule is and how the BCS is done.

If It had not been for how BCS and PR is done, I would drop them another 7 spots to where they really belong. But I am looking at it realistically.

As for Fresno State, They had a bye week after beating Rugers. I can not drop a team just because they had a bye week.

To suggest that a team has to be dropped because they had a bye week is moronic at best. Thus teams that had a bye pretty much remained where they are or at the very least within one or two spots of where they are.

I did the same for LSU which might have climbed the poll had they played as another example.

UCLA is 27th on my extended list. They will have to prove themselves a bit more considering they have yet to have a totally impressive showing as of yet.

Final note

I did not drop Tech because they looked bad on offense as compared to what we the fans are used to.

I kept them where they were because of the defensive effort and the fact Tech won despite playing the worst game I have seen in almost 2 years and still finished respectible.

Compare that to Kansas which struggled but did not have a totaly bad day. They simply were out played for much of the game. Tech on the other had looked bad and gave Nevada 8 chances to win from our Offense. Thus that is the reason why Tech did not drop. The fact that West Virginia dropped out of the top 10 made everyone pretty much move up one who won but were below them.

But everyone has their ideas of the perfect 25….. I do place a bet on my top 25 pick starting on Week 5…. I have beaten Vegas two straight years. But there is plenty of room for someone to do better than me.

top 25

Missouri should be ranked a couple of spots higher. Texas should be around 16. Texas Tech around 22. East Carolina should be around 13-14. Arizona State should be in 22-25 range and Clemson should be out of the top 25. Thanks for the conversation points.
