Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Pat Knight

Let's see...where to begin...

Okay, so Pat Knight goes all jackass on his team and brings a 12-year-old out of the stands and into the huddle during a game to make a point. I know he's got his fans here, and after he showed some great Tech love to the football team this fall, I was becoming one. But after this stunt, I see no reason to continue on the path I was on. I get that his job is to motivate...but to pull what I consider a humiliating stunt on a group of D-I players - that he recruited and has failed to develop- is the straw that I will look back on as the final point where I wash my hands of this guy. I've never felt he was a great leader and this to me proved that out.

Maybe I'm missing some greater meaning to his little stunt, but I'm done with the guy.

I think you’re off base on this one.

You seem way over stressed.

I suggest decaf…

Yeah, I was

watching the game with my wife and she made the same comment right before this happened, i.e. can anyone make a layup?

We both had a laugh when they came back from break and showed the kid that PK pulled from the stands.

Seems like an over-reaction to be done with a guy for this, but to each his own. I’m not totally sure that he’s had the final say on every recruit, but he certainly isn’t coaching this team to make as many mental mistakes that they are. I still like him and he’s not conventional, but perhaps this group needs to be a bit embarrassed for their recent play, especially in the first half against SFA and the entire game against Stanford. If their awful play isn’t motivating them, and perhaps PK knows better than any of us, then hopefully this does.

You know that it’s not just this single event, right?

For you personally

yes, I do. I’m still not willing to write him off just yet. It’s too early for me to do this.

Pat Knight has ways to go

Pat Knight still has some ways to go before he can coach a div 1 team. As much as I respect Bob Knight, i don’t think we owe him enough to continue to keep his son on the payrolls while he learns how to coach div 1 teams. We need to fire him and get a good B-ball coach. I mean if Baylor, K State and even UTEP can have better teams than us, it is really shameful.
