Crabtree was a joy to watch. I have seen draft boards where he will be drafted by the Raiders or Seahawks. I do hope he goes somewhere where there is veteran leadership and is surrounded by close associates to keep him focused. Whereever he goes, he will have gone down as the best player ever in the history of Texas Tech!
Goodbye to Crabs
He will go down as Tech’s greatest receiver. We will miss him dearly, as much as we missed him in the Cotton Bowl. Best to you, Michael. You will be a force in the NFL, maybe even be among the best there.
Get that ankle fixed. Put some Volcano Oil (orange bottle about 4 inches high by one inch square, with dark brown liquid) on it and wrap it up a few times. It works wonders. It cured a bad wrist I had for many years within a week.
The remaining receivers and the incoming ones will have to step it up and be real productive to make up for this loss. I think this will happen, though. We had good receivers in the past that were replaced by some even better. I don’t know if another will come along as good as Crabs, but we can hope.

I think this is another site trying to drive news by reporting a “sure thing” before it happens. It’s likely going to happen, but they’re just reporting on the common rumor and driving traffic to their site.
I also have it on counter-rumor that he will not be holding an on-campus press conference, though we will know for sure by mid-week all the same.
Carter
I find it surprising that he would consider leaving. I thought he would for sure want to come back and finish his Tech career, he seems like that kind of guy. I’m a little heart-broken to know that his mind already is thinking that way, because even if he does come back now you know it was not his first option. To add insult to injury, he is a good lineman that would be a huge loss, and not just because of his weight.
ESPN is reporting...
that Crabtree will schedule a press conference for 2pm next Tuesday to announce that he will enter the NFL draft.
