Sheffield out?
Okay, I hate rumors as much as the next guy, but there's one floating around on raiderpower.com that seems to have some legs to this point. From what they are saying, Sheffield suffered a concussion during the Neb game and Potts will regain the starting job against aTm. I hope this is false for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is Sheff's overall health.
I have absolutely NO info on this, have not heard it from anyone who may have a clue, and only know there's even a rumor from the other site. Anyone else hearing anything about this? I am hoping this thread will be very short lived and that it's just that - a silly rumor with no basis in fact. But now I am worried...apologies to all you Potts supporters, but I have no faith in young Taylor to lead this team effectively.

limping
I noticed he was limping a lot for the second half of the game also. I was a little concerned about an ankle injury or something. He took 5 sacks… so I guess I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a concussion I guess :( . Seems like I remember thinking one of the hits put his head on the turf pretty hard. I’m with you, hopefully he is ok… first of all for his health and secondly for the health of our team.
Thanks for ruining my night....
I saw the limping but he seemed alright between the whistles. If it is a concussion…. we should either invest in new helmets for QB’s, or a new O-Line. Still pissed about their performance….
Feeling sick now.....
I think I just shit myself. This is not the news that I wanted to hear. Damn the luck!! Just when things get rolling along this crap happens.
Hopefully this is some more media BS and Sticks is going to be ok and start against A&M. I don’t think there will be a problem.

Heard it was a foot
A little birdie told me that Sticks looked fine today at the facitliy.
Maybe it’s just silly rumors to keep A&M guessing about who to prepare for?
So...
Just how reliable is this little Birdie??? My connections are playing pro ball now… darn the luck I suppose haha
my son is part of the coaching staff – he is a 4th year senior who coaches the defense

Hope so
I can’t comment on any real injuries just like the rest of the team and staff. But I can say that this “rumor” seems to have caught him and others by surprise since Sticks was at the facility today for the meetings (practice cancelled because of the win over top 25 team), and he looke perfectly healthy other than normal wear and tear from getting beat up by Nebraska’s defense. FWIW

Glad you commented on this at least
now even if it’s nothing, here’s to the coaching staff not denying it so make the aggies prepare for both.
BIG SIGH OF ROLAIDS!!
relief, whatever, thanks Jeff for that update. I’ve determined that everyone on raiderpower.com are certifialbly nuts…..

I have a friend who is an equipment manager for the team
Ill be seeing him hopefully tomorrow and he can let me know.
I saw him last thursday before they left for Lincoln and he said Potts was reading plays really slowly in practice… not good if he is our starter

If you believe
all the talking sports heads…..TTU is a “plug and pllay” “system”, so lets not worry who the hell takes the snaps, we will beat the crap outta eATMe as the tradition so dictates. (Personally I would hope that both Potts and Sheffield are healthy for the rest of their lives)
I never believe some of these non-credible sites—I either have to hear from reputable source i.e. Joe Schad (ESPN) or even Don WIlliams. Some of these sites are just trying to get on the scroll bar on the networks.
Regardless, I think we’re in a good situation with two good QB’s that’s capable of starting.
No sweat
I think Tech could beat these guys with a 3rd string QB at the helm. The running game would kill A&M by itself not to mention our defense. I do think Sheffield will be fine and ready to go for this game but no worries on this end.
