New LT and I need suggestions

Red Raider Football with Mike leach is on here.  We have named a new starter for LT on saturday. If im hearing it right its Adrian Wall, who apparently is a Hoss.  Matt Moore seems to be really excited about him.  Lord knows our line needs something, I realize the 'huskers  have a great D-line, but there is no excuse for getting beat by at least 2 players on nearly every play!  Now on a totally different note, Von Miller is coming to town.  Thats right, you guys remember the late hit from '07 on Graham Harrell? Just in case you forgot, here's the link.

Any ideas on how to give him hell, but not be entirely too unsportsmanlike? I can have a group of at least 20 start any chant neccesary, or anything else for that matter.

And for another Q...

can Potts take a hit like this again? And will a flag be thrown if this happens again?

I don’t even see that name on our roster (the one here at DTN).

Still cant catch the name

but apparently we are pulling his redshirt.

But the school’s official roster lists LaAdrian Waddle as an O-lineman.

Well they ya have it then.

Scout.com lists him as a 2-star from Columbus, Texas. 6’5", 315 at the time

by TechFirst on Oct 22, 2009 6:56 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Isn’t 6’5" short for our standards at Tackle? haha

by RdrPwr on Oct 22, 2009 7:04 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

current online roster...

says 6’ 6" and 350 – he’s a growing boy! He will have to grow up fast. I’ll bet he doesn’t sleep much on Friday night. Go swing your sword, LaAdrian. Now, for a nick name, how about L-Wad?

by natsnagrom on Oct 22, 2009 7:34 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Waddles

he’s 350 so im sure it fits haha

Matt Moore knows what he is doing and if he picks a 2* guy I’m loving it. Hell our best qb is a walkon. Wes Welker just scored 2tds in a quarter in the snow. I think tech rolls their own way.

They may have learned that Terry McDaniel’s knee is serious enough that he’ll be out a while. We’ve been playing mostly Olsen, Edwards, and McDaniel on the left side. Lonnie Edwards has settled in at LG with McDaniel at LT. Olsen isn’t quite there yet (not to knock him) and has been more of a multi-position back-up as far as I can figure. I’m guessing Leach needed to fill in for McDaniel’s loss and Waddle was his choice. Funny that he would start him over Olsen, though.

Now that I’ve checked, dedfisher over at Tortilla Retort was just talking about the King/Waddle/Gray/Clark group as the next linemen apparent.

HIs nickname should have something to do with ducks. They waddle and look funny doing it. I don’t have any clever suggestions, though. sorry.

Nickname I’ve heard is Pooh. heh.

Waddle battled Winn for the RT job and almost played his way into the 2 deep in fall camp. Apparently, he’s kept up the quality. This is a true diamond in the rough type of player and is up to 6’6" or 6’7" around 350 and can move.

Keep an eye out for him if you’re at the game, I’ll want to know how he looked, if he lives up to the hype.

I'll watch

but im biased with O-line play. I prefer the old school get low and use leverage. Moore doesnt go that way apparently.

Same referee

that didn’t call that hit on Graham is the one who didn’t call a penalty against Kindle for that hit. Coincidence? I’m not expecting any favors from the B12 officials, even if this game is a different crew.

Yeah

I pissed off alot of UT fans by pointing that out. Now how can he keep his job again?

And Von Miller's hit on GH no flag

Nebraska was about the first game in a decade where I felt tech was getting the benefit of the doubt regarding penalties.

Yes, and it seemed to be more fair than anything. But if you want to throw in the Wall int that they missed twice……kind of changes that up.

he's good

I have seen him play. Perfect for pass protection. On then run he wasn’t that smooth, but should be better. wreck em

Don Williams’ article says Waddle will start at RT and Winn will move to LT. That’s kinda what they did in the Rice game when Carter played LG – put one of the two experienced guys on each side.
