The 1 Ranked Team NOT on TV
After a quick comparison of rankings to TV schedules: Texas Tech is the only ranked team that is not on TV today. While I understand that a sellout is important financially in the short term, media exposure is also a very important long term goal (recruiting and otherwise). There has to be some way that television could have been worked out for this game. Pay-per-view, Lubbock TV blackout, or just allowing a near-sell-out but still record attendance to suffice. Maybe even selling end-zone seats for $60 instead of $95. Whatever the solution something should have been done. Is this another gaffe on Myers? Of course the bumble heads at the conference offices are to blame as well, they have got to come up with better TV contracts. The rule against web streaming is inexcusable. Their goal should be to have every Big 12 game on TV in some form!
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Double-T Nation's writers or editors.

You need to check your history
A&M set the precedent when they refused to televise the game at college station several years ago. Their AD said they did not want to damage their season ticket holders. If you do the economics, Myers could not get enough TV money to offset the loss of revenue. I think he made a very prudent financial decision. TT is on television plenty and I am very happy to see the Aggies take the hit. Remember, TT gets to keep all the money.

Yup
but…. Nebraska vs. Iowa State is 7-3 and Iowa St. just picked off Lee. Nebraska cant lose, that takes away all credit we earned last week.
With kickoff in two hours, I think we just need to move on about the fact that we’re not on TV. It sucks and I just hope to listen to them win this game.
For what it's worth, I haven't listened to a single game on the radio that we've lost.
Wreck Em Tech!!

I'm dissapointed for selfish reasons, but this is a no-brainer from a TV programming standpoint
the only Big XII game I can look at and definitively say “Most people in the region would rather watch A&M @ Tech” is the Okie St/Baylor blowout, and unfortunately we weren’t competing in that timeslot.
