I was pleased to read that coach Leach spent some time speaking privately with Potts (and Doege for that matter). Now it could be that he just wanted to harp on some of his poor decisions. However, I would hope that he spent the time trying to build up Potts confidence.
No way to know for sure, but I’m taking the optimistic stance that he was encouraging Potts rather than just ripping him.

I try to avoid pits of any kind
