I Never Thought I Would See the Day....

That Texas Tech would find their way on the 'Bottom 10' Article on ESPN.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?page=bottom10102909

I know it is just the #5 spot and that is a "guest" spot which any team can get, AND it was because of Leach's comments.... still is kinda weird seeing us on there though.

that sucks. especially because i’m pretty sure atm held that same spot the week before. Here’s to hoping that Kansas will fill it next week.

How ridiculous

Why are we even on this list? It looks like the main requirement is to be a terrible team, not have a coach who said something strange. That list is dumb.

I must be missing something… I have never heard of this bottom 10 deal before.

Been around for years...

Throughout the week, they release various rankings with this one being the “light-hearted” one. The number 5 spot is always reserved for a team that may not be necessarily that bad but did something to really distinguish themselves (in a bad, bad way) the previous week.
I wouldn’t have thought anything about it had it just made the point that we laid an egg at home after the “beat them by 100?” meme all week. But to put us there for Leach’s remarks is just stupid.
But you know what they say…any press is good press.

Don’t be dragged into this. ESPN will do anything to make them look good, even if what they come up with is derogatory and untrue. Those bobble-headed talking a$$holes couldn’t tie a shoelace, much less be competent newspersons. To heck with them.

Maybe...

it can serve as motivation to move forward. ESPN has shown Tech plenty of acolades and I think they were probably just as shocked as we all were after losing to the worst team in the south that week. I hate to admit but after losing to A&M I don’t blame them for us being the in the guest spot.
