FSN Game Call
Two quotes that stick out:
"Like Nick at Night, except not at night!
In reference to the Nick in the second half when they brought up the nickname again after a 3rd down conversion or some such nice play.
"Just last year he was riding the yellow bus and going to prom, now he's here playing for Tech" - 1st guy
"I was hoping you weren't going to say the magic bus like the Who" - same guy as above quote
I'm just glad the game made it worth sticking around... maybe I should have muted it I guess.

They are
But I kind of like what Joel Klatt brings…doesn’t sound like a stuffy talking head and actually offers something beyond the BFOTO (blinding flash of the obvious).

Theyyst have sensed they needed something
Because the sent him from the pregame show to the booth. I kind of feel like Klatt is a poor man’s Collin Cowherd.

I heard both comments...
Both made me go…WTF? Aside from that, some random smack talk about TTU, talking too long about the Aggies game, and mentioning Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley are roommates for no reason it was a good call.

Between that and ESPN
subjecting America to the middle-Shipley’s awful guitar-playing and singing, you have to wonder what the hell exactly the WWL’s focus groups are telling them about what people want from their sporting “news”

un-flippin-bearable!!!
I heard both comments and them some
I heard them all afternoon TRYING to work in what the guys on the Tech Radio network made a brief BUT ACCURATE reference to. The whole “Nick” thing.
We all know, the Nick Reed, KU LB, “play like nick”, inspired the WHOLE team not just Potts, story. But after a whole afternoon of awkwardness the KINDA mention the term alter-ego and that is as close as they got.
not to mention ZOO zah lik, and who knows how many other mispronounciations.
un watchable…..Im glad I was on the road to Austin to catch the Train Concert and listened to it on Sirius.

PS:
and lets not forget Alex Torres (on the long catch and run to the 4 yd line)
“using” the sideline. HUH?!?!? 15 seconds later on describing the same play he said the OU DBs used the sideline as a 12th defender. Dude, make up your mind!?!?!?
