Texas Tech vs. Baylor. 2nd half thread.

Ugly first half. Nick didn't get off the bus. Taylor Potts is wearing the wrong jersey.

Defense is playing fairly well.

I'd like to hear someone say something bad about ND or Charlie Weis

Apparently he’s just really really awesome, but the planets aren’t aligned and so you know, he couldn’t do his job well enough to keep it. The world may never know what a truly amazing coach Charlie Weis is now because Notre Dame for some reason doesn’t want to continue having losing seasons.

by merrik on Nov 28, 2009 8:18 PM CST up reply actions

Aw man, I missed that.

Apparently Herbstreit is too young to remember the glory days and have proper respect and reverence for the great and powerful Notre Dame.

The interception was bad, really bad, but there were a LOT of drops that were not his fault. Like Coach Leach said, I think it all just comes down to our team (the WHOLE team) showing up to play or not.

by HeeroTX on Nov 28, 2009 8:40 PM CST up reply actions

He did a very good job but I think Sticks can do a better job of leading the team and getting the spark.

Defense kept us in the game.

by KWashburn on Nov 28, 2009 8:46 PM CST up reply actions

.

Most of Potts passes that were drops were passes thrown too high on long passes, too low on short passes or too hard when the player is 3 yards away. It would take a dedicated quarterback coach a year to fix all his bad mechanics & bad habits. He never plants his feet before throwing the ball. He’s either leaning back on his heels or doing a tap dance in fear of getting hit. I don’t care how strong a guy’s arm is if he’s never accurate.

by mbrown603 on Nov 28, 2009 10:33 PM CST up reply actions

Is it just me or does Potts always forget to throw to Detron. He is by far our best receiver and when Sheffield started our offense clicked because he threw to Detron. Anyone else notice this?
