As you can see, Texas Tech played against two awards winners who won an accumulated 7 awards. The only reason they could not win the other awards was because they did not play a position to win them or qualify for them in any other way. For those that forgot (I know you haven’t), Tech won one and lost one of those games. All-in-all, a very good year for our Red Raiders, considering they went up against such reverent company…………
The one award left is the Heisman, to be given away to, probably, Colt McCoy today in New York. That will make 8 total awards, 4 each by Suh and McCoy.
I for one want one award for my Texas Tech Red Raiders: the Alamo Bowl Winner’s Trophy, to be presented late on Saturday, January 2, 2010.
GO TECH! WRECK ’EM, RED RAIDERS!

Ingram Wins Heisman!
Well, at least Colt did not match Suh in number of awards….yet. I thought any one of the five finalists would be worthy. However, did anyone notice that the 4th and 5th (Tebow and Suh) nominees were as far out of the final vote as was Harrell and Crabtree last year? Amazing. It just made me despise those stuckup fools in New York even more for the snub given two great Texas Tech Red Raiders last year.

So how did they explain how many candidates get to attend again? Last year Crabs and Harrell were 4 and 5, yet only the top 3 went. This year it was the top 5. I know they gave an explanation, I just cant remember what it was.

The only explanation I remember hearing for last year was that Crab and Harrell were not close to the other three in votes……you know, kinda like Tebow and Suh this year.

From the votes I saw, Suh was as close as any defender will likely be, and likely all the people voting for him felt he deserved to be there and the people voting against felt at least SOME shame in that. Tebow was way out of it though and him going to the ceremony in that manner after what they did to Harrell and Crabtree is a disgrace.

Disgrace doesn't even begin to describe what it is...
Like I’ve stated before, this award has lost it’s luster and is no longer a “prestige”.
