I plan on going to the game unless something blows up.

Hope we win! It would be nice to get excited about TTU Basketball again. Maybe if we win we will get ranked.

i'll defintiely be there...

I just hope our confidence is high, but not TOO high. We are off to a great start and an upset at home would be the topping. I look for J Roberson to be a leader.

I have that problem too....

Always to early. yuk yuk yuk

I guess that is going to be Tech’s staple from now on. It seems to happen quite a bit now a days. I honestly like the idea of the fans being that excited.

Rushing the court

I do not blame the fans for rushing the court the first time. I mean it was what to be thought the game winning shot as time expired. The fans are not going to stand and wait for the result from the refs as everyone’s adrenaline was pumping. Heck I even rushed and i didnt feel dumb for it. The rushing of the field of the UT game last year was different because there was obviously time on the clock and people still rushed even after the extra point was made.

Agreed

The UT thing was ridiculous, I almost fought the fans that were pushing me to the front for being idiots. But last night…. watch the replay. The shot beat the light! Looked good to everyone there.

But that raises the question. Is it the light on the backboard and the buzzer, or the clock that determine when that shot can get off? I seem to recall a game like this one a few years back where the shot beat the light but not the clock, I thought NCAA ruled it was the light that mattered…….. I’m just wondering here.

Clarified during the game

The announcers clarified this during the game… I was thinking the same as you, that it beat the light, but they said that the first indicator is double 0’s on the clock. If thats the case then why even have the light? Or why not synchronize the two? Just leads to confusion as I was already jumping for joy in my living room in Dallas.

do you remember the incident im referring to? I cant find it anywhere, but several people remember something about it. I was thinking it was the light, because it was there to make it easier for officials to review, then again, it should be synched. Oh well, I guess winnng by several in OT takes care of anyone saying it was a bad call.
