Daniel Charbonnet's Facebook Status:

Daniel Charbonnet just updated his status to this

For everyone who wants to know what happen, you probably never will. The only thing you should know is Coach Leach and Coach Leach alone is responsible for this. I wish it wasn't like this. I love the coaches there, I hope the best for Ruff and the coaches left. Most of all I wish the best for all the players and my old teammates!

I'm not sure what to think of this...

He doesn't have any unbiased inside info either

All he has is what his little brother tells him I’m sure. And you can see his sentiments here.

Cornerback Taylor Charbonnet, to ESPN: “The players make this team, not one coach. As Adam’s friend, I didn’t like it at all what [Leach] did. He was my brother and I didn’t agree with it. I don’t know why [Leach] did that. But I know we our fully behind [interim] coach Ruffin [McNeil]. We love him and support him.”

I can understand a kid taking up for a friend, but the Charbonnet dynasty just took a step down in my book.

agree

a couple of bad apples will start to fall but no matter what we lost a legacy at Texas Tech today. Charbonnets would have never seen the practice field at any other D1 schools so they should be grateful.

Contrary to popular belief . . .

football teams, even highly successful teams, are not one giant, happy family. There is often significant tension between defense and offense, and sometime the two sides flat don’t like each other. Leach was the head coach and the offensive coordinator, which gave him twice as many chances to piss of the defensive players. I am not the least bit surprised that defensive players aren’t rushing to his defend his honor.

Surprising

So this guy was there? No. Or just hear say from his little brother (who gets little play time), who has an opinion as well. This is not just about Mike Leach, this is clear, and to think so is ignorant and an irresponsible statement from a former player. These guys have a lot of power on what they say and need to be very careful when a biased statement is made. We wont hear the positives about Leach, or what former players have said to support him on ESPN.

“Leach put his personal pride before the players or school many, many times. I wish it was different, but it’s not..”

D.Charbonnet also said that. . if you read below. Didn’t know Leach was so prideful. I do think the Charbonnet’s have character, so I have to give them some credit.

Not So Fast My Friends...

Guys, the reality here is that the players took a stand. Call it mutiny if you will. But when a group of players feel their coach has crossed the line, it is hard to have respect for that coach. In turn, hard to play for the guy. I believe this was the straw that broke the camels back.

I have been watching this situation for several days. Something never added up. Why would the Chancellor and the President take swift action? Why were we only seeing one side of the story? Coach Leach’s attorney did a terrible job on ESPN yesterday when interviewed. I do believe Coach had every opportunity to make this right, but when one ego didn’t budge…the others forced the issue. I am sure Gerald Meyer’s did not help his coach and I am still part of the “Fire Gerald Meyers” Fan Club. He has done nothing to bring the entire athletics department to respectibility.

But let’s face it here boys. These players would not go public with their comments if there was not just cause. Watching a few of the player interviews this evening in San Antonio prooved to me the players lost all respect for Coach Leach. We may not like the situation, but in the end…we are not on the field. We are fans, alum, faculty, or students. The only one’s who knew the real story were the players and the Administration.

Coach Leach brought us to respectability without a doubt. He helped reestablish Lubbock, TX and the national media knew where to find it. I am also concinced that Coach Leach may have also been a victim of his own creation. We all have egos and sometimes they need to be checked at the door.

We should take this time to think about what I just posted and then think about what those players have said. Then, tell me if you think this makes sense.

True but...

I could have found a way to deal with his ego since we were winning and recruiting classes we have never seen. The administration could have done much better and some of these football players coming forward are soft to say the least. That snot nosed James kid was given a chance to play D1 ball at a good program and took advantage of his daddy’s success at ESPN. I don’t for one moment think Leach was easy on these guys but I know he didn’t jeopadise their safety. He trained them hard to produce results and the younger kids today know nothing about toughness because everyhting is under a microscope and too PC. Football is a tough sport and scholarship athletes need to expect tough workouts.

Nobody forces them to be there. If you don’t like it get the hell out! See if you get on the field anywhere else. Most likely not.

You are ridiculous. Go jack off Craig and Adam.

After reading everything about Adam James I am convinced he is a spoiled brat who has gotten his way his whole life because his daddy has continued to wipe his ass since he was in diapers. I am pretty sure anyone that considers a person like this a friend is equally a prick. Just leave the program and don’t disturb the success that has been established.

Bunches

People hang in bunches, much like fruit, in that we tend to like people who are like us.

It’s easier to get along with people of the same views and from the same backgrounds, especially when you’re younger and haven’t really established a real individual mindset that only comes with age and experience. Nothing wrong with that but…

I put very little stock in anything that any of Adams’ “Bro’s” say.

They’re probably a bunch of spoiled brats just like him.
