Welker had a good day today. That guy is awesome. Crab had 60 yards. Is Eric Morris still playing for the Rams?
Amendola plays for the Rams
Eric was on the roster of the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the CFL but was on the injured list (along with Harrell) down the stretch and during the Grey Cup.

And boy do we need a playoff. If I was TCU or Cinci or BSU I would be pissed off right now.
Kind of similar to the way we didn’t make a bcs bowl last year and were 6th in the nation. Bunch of crap.

Look very hot in those jerseys

Its official. We are Alamo Bowl bound.
Student tickets are upperlevel for 55 a piece….. what happened to the 25 for lower level at the Gator bowl? I just dont know if I can afford this trip:(
TCU vs. Boise St. in the fiesta bowl.
This is complete horse shit!!! It seems to me that this was the BCS guys keeping the two unbeaten non BCS schools from beating BCS schools. Way to cover your ass guys. This Bowl is Horse shit!!!-in my best Step Brothers impersonation.

The whole BCS thing is horse s..t!
Until they go to a playoff system, this is the type things the “elite” will do to ensure all order is contained according to THEIR rules. Even if a team does exactly what is asked, WIN, they are not assured of an even chance to play for the national title. For me, Alabama earned the right. Texas? Uh-uh. TCU-Darn right! And in the polls that have come out, how do they keep FLA above Boise? Just too screwy to believe anymore, if ever. I am actually glad Tech will be in the Alamo bowl, even though it would be more “prestigious” to play in the Holiday Bowl. This way, Tech fans can buy out all available tickets, coming in from all over the state of Texas and surrounding states. GO TECH! BEAT MICHIGAN STATE!!!!

I wont say that Texas didnt earn it as well…. but TCU, Boise St., and Cincy are all equally (if not more) deserving. What are the odds of a split national championship?
If Texas wins by a very narrow margine, and TCU and Cincy win by huge amounts, there is a chance TCU or Cincy go to #1 in the AP poll.
Nope
TCU can beat Boise by 100 and Cincy can beat a defeated Florida team with nothing to play for, and there is still NO way the AP writers are going to leapfrog an undefeated victor in an Alabama-Texas game. No reason to expect such a result.
But who cares anyway? The AP is wholly irrelevant in college football these days.

True, but didnt it happen a few years ago? I kind of think they should take the C out of BCS. That would describe it much better.
TCU and Boise are going to have to get big schools in their non-conf and pretty much make their schedule like NCAA basketball teams that are in weak conferences. If they do that I think they will be able to make a run at the championship game. Don’t get me wrong I think TCU is just as deserving as any team in the nation right now.
My only knock on Boise is that they had a few close conference games against way lesser opponents.
The Fiesta is a rematch of last year’s all-important Poinsettia Bowl where TCU trampled over Boise State 17-16.
They talk about showcasing these “bcs busters” and then pair them up against each other (who played one year ago to a draw). What does this prove? Not much in my book.
They should’ve made one play Florida and the other play Cincy. That would’ve answered more questions than making them play each other. TCU-Florida would’ve been a defensive showdown and Boise-Cincy would be an offensive showdown.
I don't know...
I have to say, if they matched either of them up with Cincy it wouldn’t make any difference… To me Cincy is pretty over-rated, No matter what team plays them, allot of points are gettin scored. Look at Pitt, with a pro style offense, scoring with them. Cincy has absolutely no defense so it doesn’t matter who they play.
This will be a good rematch, and platform for either team (hopefully TCU) that wins.

So it's Tech vs. heavily disciplined Michigan State
At least it’s not Iowa this time. I’ve been there twice to see Tech lose to Iowa. I just hope they “remember the Alamo” bowls in the past & win this time.
Yes indeed. I hope so too. I hope this is an ugly blow out Tech win on the national tv.

I think the Alamo is one of the worst matchups of the entire bowl season. I am still appalled that a 6-6 is allowed an invite to a bowl game. They need to cut the number of bowls to 20 so there is actually some suspense and excitement over making a bowl game.
Rewarding mediocrity is sort of what this country has decided is acceptable in some instances, so I guess I shouldn’t be all that appalled.

totally agree
it’s a crap bowl match up. 6-6 team that is shadowed by most big 10 schools. Little to be excited about with this years bowl.
Easy there
I sure hope the Red Raiders are not thinking this, because they will get clocked if they are. MSU, even though they are at 6-6 for the year, can still play football, albeit at not quite the level at which WE have become accustomed. Still, they should not be taken so lightly as to believe Tech will “blow” them out. I hope they are taking this as seriously as possible. If so, THEN they can win big by playing strong solid defense and quick strike, back breaking offense. Tech is 10 down in the win column for bowl games. Noe is the time for them to start a winning streak, to be continued every year for at least 40 more years, long after my death.

TU v Bama
So as loathe as I am to do it, I think I have to cheer for Texas over Bama, or rather Big 12 over SEC. I don’t really want to but I think it would give the Big 12 more credability and could help us more than a Bama win.
Here’s what I’m thinking:
-A TU win is good for the Big 12 and TTU in terms of television money, national coverage and would hopefully mean that we are taken more seriously, not just a pass happy league with poor defenses. It could also help our ranking for next season!
-However a TU win could mean a dent in our recruiting as “on the fence” recruits may choose them over us. And although I wont get it as much as some others, seeing those smug TU fans could be more than I could bear!
-A bama win would mean that all those SEC boosters can beat their chests and cry out superiority, and tech could see potential recruits in Florida, Miss and other SEC states change their minds as they don’t want to go to a lower rated conference
-However, a bama win would shut up those TU fans who claim they are the best in the land, when we all know that they are clearly not, they have struggled with a lot of teams inc. TTU, TA&M, an average Oklahoma, Nebraska and I hate to think what a good team like Bama could do to them. It could also spell good fortune should we win our bowl and Texas lose in terms of recruiting.
I just can't do that
I hear what you’re saying but I just don’t fit into the “pull for the conference” crowd. I eagerly enjoy watching A&M and UT lose any game as much as I enjoy seeing Tech win a game. I hear it all the time from aggie and longhorn so called friends about how Tech is a second rate university and how superior they are to us. I know it’s all crap but it has fueled my dislike for their programs and I would be perfectly happy if tech was the only Big 12 school to win. I do realize about recruiting and the money that the conference takes in as a whole by winning but that just isn’t enough to make me pull for these guys. I do pull for Baylor as the wife is an alum and I have little to worry about for now with those guys. I have cousins that went to SEC schools and I hear them bragging all the time about their conference. I’m fine with that. At the end of the day I would greatly enjoy seeing A&M and UT getting blown out and Tech winning big.
I'm about the same
I went to Baylor after Tech, so they get the nod except when we play them.
I used to root for both UT and atm whenever they played anyone from out of state or OOC. It wasn’t so much a conference loyalty as much as a Texas loyalty. But after putting up with the trolls from those two and their arrogant attitudes, I’ve grown to enjoy seeing them lose. It’s not just the internet trolls, but the guys at work, friends, etc., very few of which seem capable of restraining that smugness. They either don’t know how abrasive they are or don’t care. In any event, they do more harm than good for their schools.
Roger that I used to root for all Texas (regional) teams..
but the latest round of abject ut homerism combined with the sense of entitlement has soured me. I look forward to ut losing. BTW has anyone heard the "ut clock mulligan" gig by ESPN? IRT beating Nebraska?? As far as rooting for another Texas or Big 12 team .. I still care a bit about Atm – as long as they aren’t playing us. Hell who wants to play a perpetually down aggie team. Baylor I root for them religiously except when they take on Tech. OSU ehh ..not so much. Respect them? Yes like them no.
