"The university treated me awesome,'' Harrell said. "I got a degree from there. I'm 9-to-12 hours short of a Master's (degree) from there.

"I'm glad to see they got it settled because Texas Tech is good for Coach Leach and Coach Leach is good for Texas Tech.''

That sentiment is shared by Crabtree, who has repeatedly been asked his insights about Leach's future with Tech before the school and Leach finally reached an agreement on a new deal.

"Oh yeah, a lot of people have asked me questions about Leach,'' said Crabtree, expected to go in the Top 10 in he April draft. "I'm glad everything is situated.''
