My degree says Texas Tech on it.

I am committed to the University, not any one man who is employed by the University (Let’s face it, he’s from Wyoming and has no real loyalty to Tech other than a pay check).

The fact that he’s flying around the Country trying to get more money each off season really infuriates me. What’s really funny to me about the whole deal, is NONE of the schools he goes to ever offers him SQUAT!! All he does is come back to Lubbock and try to screw Tech out of more money.

Don’t get me wrong, I think he deserves the money. I just think that he needs to show just a little gratitude to the school that gave him his first shot at being a head coach.

If they could take 3 out of 4 of options out of the contract that he’s opposed to out, I’d be OK with it. I think the loyalty part of the contract should stick no matter what.

I am a huge Mike Leach supporter but the school has done everything within reason to keep him. As I stated before he is being offered what most would get after a NC or BCS win. I’m shocked at his greed and lack of truth. The economy is bad and people are just getting by at best and he wants more than what a proven coach should receive. Mack and Bob make what they do because they earned it. Leach has yet to be in that company even though I think he’s capable. He wants everything in his favor and I find it arrogant. I support Tech and the admins. stance on this. Yes I would love to see him stay and coach at Tech but his heart isn’t in Lubbock and that’s all to obvious now. There are lots of great coaches that Tech could be looking at and I think it should start now.
