Another game where the Red Raiders out-hit Baylor (14 to 8), but still come up short, despite a decent outing by starting pitcher AJ Ramos and good relief from Robert Kilcrease (recap). Ramos (5.0 IP; 6 H; 4 ER; 1 BB; 5 SO) was solid, but not spectacular. Certainly he was good enough to earn the win. Kilcrease (3.0 IP; 2 H; 1 R; 4 BB; 1 SO) did give up the winning run, but he too was solid, or at least much more solid than what the bullpen has previously been, although he did give up 4 walks. The defense continues to be shaky as the Red Raiders had 3 errors (5 in the past two games), although it does not appear that the errors led to any runs. The offense did a good job of hitting the ball, but just couldn't drive in the runs. DH Scott LeJeune (5-5; 3 RBI) was absolutely incredible, while Joey Kenworth (2-5), Taylor Ashby (2-5) and Garrett Totten (2-2) all had a two hit game.

Sick.
It is time this team wins these games. They definitely have the talent. JUST USE IT and quit trying to go beyond capabilities. I hate to see Tech baseball looking so bad. I still have hopes Spencer will get them going in the right direction, but, MAN, is this hard to see.

I don't think
they do have the talent. Lots of reliance on Juco players under Hays, while Spencer is relying on freshman to make the transition. Just have to be patient.
Go Raiders . . .
